Dominion Park Beach
Peaceful place. But the only thing I would like to change is... to allow dogs to play there.

Beautiful spot to catch a sunset. Much work will soon be going into this popular water spot on the West Side which will make it attractive for many more years to come. Lots of parking and a good spot for kids.

Dominion Park Beach
Not good for big kids...boring..nothing to do...good just for small kids...it's not a beach...it's actually a river....the name is misleading...even though there are washrooms, they can't be used...it's disgusting...not coming back...

Dominion Park Beach
This is a really nice beach maintained by the city of Saint John. It includes washrooms, canteen, picnic areas with barbecues, a playground, basketball court, lots of parking, and lifeguards during the summer months. If your looking for a good spot to view sunsets look no further than this is the place. When the winter months come along this is a really popular spot to go ice fishing too.

Dominion Park Beach
It is an okay beach. The sand is rocky and there is a lot of broken glass. The lifeguards are very strict, while some rules make sense for safety reasons such as not allowing floating devices due to currents, some are unreasonable such as my son trying to balance on my knees and falling backwards into about 3 feet of water. If you just want to swim or stand in the water they will allow you to do so within the lines, if you want to play at all you have to do so in the heavily sea weeded areas outside the lines. The lifeguards at Rockwood park are much more understanding. I would not return to this beach. The only nice thing about it is the canteen and the bathrooms.
