We had a tea leaf reading done, and it was horrible. So much so, that some lady from the table beside us came over and commented on how bad our reading was and asked if we were happy with it.The scones were good, but for $60/person JUST for the readings, (plus cost of food) I won't be back.

My partner surprised me with a tea leaf reading and lunch, and all I can say was wow! Beautifully decorated, the food can be accommodated to be gluten free and is SO delicious. We had our tea leaves read by Amanda Rae who was able to say quite a few things that hit close to home and I was very impressed. Thank you for such a wonderful afternoon!

I loved this place so much. I was taken for a tea leaf reading by a friend when I visited from Vancouver. The reading was great! The high tea amazing . Such a quaint and beautifully appointed old home. Can hardly wait to visit again from Vancouver.

This was my first time at Calico Cat and unfortunately it will be my last. I want to provide a justification of my experience however, and hopefully provide some insight before you consider visiting for yourself.I'll start off by first saying that the interior design and decor is welcoming and fits the ambience of a tea house. There was nice relaxing music, beautiful tea sets, and big windows for optimal warmth and brightness. The food was surprisingly very delicious. I got a croissant egg salad sandwich and a side of cream of mushroom soup. They were both extremely fresh, full of flavour and decently portioned. The meal was a bit on the pricier side, but the taste made it more justifiable.Unfortunately with that being said, it was not enough to redeem the other parts of my experience. My biggest complaint was the set up for readings. I personally thought it was quite uncomfortable having my reading done at the table, essentially nearby/beside other people. I personally think that having your reading done is a very personal and vulnerable experience that should be availible privately, even if you're accompanied by close friends/family. I additonally thought the quality of the reading wasn't that strong. I didn't feel like the individual doing my reading was that intentional and genuine. They couldn't really pick up anything other than some very generalized insight that could be relatable to many different people and circumstances in life. Typically your reader should ask you the least and instead spend most of the time giving insight and explaining what's coming up for them intuitively. The individual who did my reading asked several questions that I believe they used as a catalyst to further explore my reading, rather than it coming from intuition. I'm also very new to tarot cards and they didn't explain any of the cards to me. I understand the reading is condensed but a simple explanation of what the card actually says or means could have been helpful to understand the reading further. The whole experience was a bit disheartening for my first tea leaf reading. For 36 dollars and only 10 minutes you don't get a lot of justifiable service. We had the last slot of the night, so I felt things were very rushed. I would have rather been told there wasn't enough time to do my whole table then to feel like I wasn't given much care or attention.Overall, the serving staff and reader were very kind, welcoming and personable. The food was delicious and fresh but for the higher ticket prices of service, I would personally go to different resturant and get a reading done at a more professional location. This is definitely a location for a one time experience, I will not be returning.

This is a delightful place. The ambience is perfect. The food is good, substantihal and the prices are fine. Before booking time with a reader, make sure that you know what you are looking for as each has their own methods and strengths. Heather is, just as I've heard from others, intuitive, *very* experienced and professional.

Absolutely Lovely. I took my Mom and daughter. A quaint place, VERY CLEAN, exactly what I hoped for. We had an excellent tea reading with Heather. She was excellent! On the mark for all 3 of us!!!Lunch was devine. My daughter and I shared Tea luncheon. Everything was so fresh and delicious, right down to the lemon curd and warm scone (best I have ever had). My Mom had the crepes and was very happy.I would highly recommend for a special occasion or a nice luncheon.

What a unique experience and even though I went in the middle of the pandemic, I was very impressed with the precautions taken. I felt safe the entire time. Even with the precautions in place you felt like you were having an intimate talk While having the tea leaves red. So casual and relaxed and she spent a long time with us. You feel like you've stepped back into another time. I instantly felt like I was transported to my childhood in my great-grandmother's house, surrounded by antiques and fascinating memorabilia. The tea leaf reading itself was quite something. Being a skeptic, I went in more for entertainment and to try it but I was quite surprised at the accuracy and detail she was able to go into. She nailed it. We were served a lovely tea with fresh fruit, finger sandwiches and tasty desserts. I will definitely be a return customer.

Lovely location and ambiance. Perfect for a reading.Lovely warm staff, proper tea, and the reading was fun and at times spot on.I haven't been in for tea and a reading in a number of years. It was wonderful to find that it hadn't changed.
