I was part of the Business IT course 21/22. I learned a lot, not only from the curriculum, but about myself. I really enjoyed the structure of the online classroom, met some amazing people, and the instructors and staff all did their best!The College itself is extremely disorganized. Lack of resources and staff led to lack of clear communication between staff, and between students and the staff. I collected the honest feedback from my classmates at the end of our course, and sent it in, with not just the complaints but solutions provided. I hope that the school can take the feedback to improve upon itself, because I DID enjoy my time here and want to see others have a smoother experience in the future!My advice for potential students - this is a place of growth and learning for all. This isn't a multi million dollar educational institute. Have patience, hold yourself accountable, and don't be afraid to speak up. Build each other up, including the staff.

Discovery college have the best support system and resources available to jump start your career.

Community Support Worker was the program I just finished at DCC. I am a mature student and I found the instruction to be flexible in allowing time to get up to speed with the technology needed. I enjoyed that the program was blended so new students joined each semester and I got the chance to learn from my peers as well. I had an amazing instructor who was knowledgeable as well as passionate about community service which was inspiring. I was hired at the place I did my practicum and I couldn’t be happier. Thanks DCC for being a major stepping stone towards my future!

This place is an absolute joke. The LPN program will get you your LPN license and NOTHING else. DO NOT believe anything any administrative staff says. You will never be able to bridge anywhere as not a single university in Canada will take your transcripts from DCC. They will also never give you any credit for your time spent at discovery. So do your self a favour and skip this AWFUL school and the money hungry administrators. We were all lied to and told that bridging will never be an issue. This is completely not true. I have been trying to bridge for two years only to be told time and time again that this career colleges idea of education is not up to any university or college standards. Some universities don’t even think DCC is accredited.

When I started my course at the end of July 2021 it was a great experience. The teachers I had were awesome, they did such a good job. I learned lot and went through alot of self growth HOWEVER...The college itself was a horrible experience. The college is very unorganized and home no back up plans. We class was promised to have all our labs and any in person things done in our city - Duncan. Not the case. All our labs were scheduled in Nanaimo, I know not that far but as a student with a part time income and single parent that gas adds up fast and yes we carpooled.When it came to my practicum... worst experience. My practicum teacher was horrible. She seemed to constantly pick on one specific student and I personally felt judged by her because we don't share the same view about the vaccination. If you were unvaxed you had to find your own practicum place. They only back up plan they did have was an alternative to a practicum if anyone could not find a place.I spoke to my practicum teachers supervisor as did a number of my classmates and I personally felt like I was not taken seriously.I have called the college a number of times to asking how I would file a complaint and NO ONE knows.

This College is absolutely amazing 5/5 stars. I had a great time here learning to become a health care assitant. The hands on training really helped me get the experience I needed to feel confident in the work place. Would deffinalty recommend for anyone looking to presue a career in health care.

Great experience! Excellent instructor!!! Feel so fortunate to have had the instructor that I did, officially finished the HCA course on a Friday & was hired for a job on Monday!

I took the crisis response mental health course my teacher was amazing and the content of my course was great. The only thing I didn't like was that they removed the food safe from the course and gave the basic first aid instead of level 2 which were both given to the previous class and needed in order to work in the field. My practicum was amazing and I met some great people. Also they should add some more time in for indigenous studies as it was very condensed and rushed and is very important in the field.

My experience started off good and learning about international trade was interesting. The instructors were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful but some lacked the actual teaching part of the job. I guess that's what happens when everything switches to online? If you want to pay thousands of dollars to basically teach yourself the curriculum this is the place to go.I also quickly learned how unorganized the college was too. Trying to set up a practicum was a nightmare. We were actually forgotten about and weren't informed of what was required until like two weeks before our practicum was supposed to start and we were in charge of finding our own. They do not have a job bank or companies that they work with to help students find work. It was also unpaid which made it difficult to pay bills.

Really enjoyed my course and the staff. Fantastic instructor, Student services was fantastic too. Loved the smaller class sizes!
