Chris focuses on more than just capturing a nice photo, he is all about capturing moments and emotion. He is absolutely amazing to work with; Not just a great photographer, but a genuine and caring individual that we had the pleasure of getting to know during our wedding day. Some people may wonder about him being a one-man show, but I assure you he is basically a photo-ninja and will be everywhere you need him to be. If you are lucky enough to hire Chris for your wedding day, you will not be disappointed!!!

My wife and I had the pleasure of working with Chris for our wedding this month. We couldn't be happier with how easy he was to work with and the quality of the work he does. Every picture we got was amazing and he did a great job capturing almost everybody (if not everybody) at the wedding. Chris was very professional the entire time but was also a blast to work with and everybody had fun and was relaxed through out the shoot. We were very happy with Chris' speed on getting our pictures done, we had 9 pictures up the day after our wedding and the rest were done in just over a week. I would recommend Chris to anybody looking for the best of the best.

When we were searching for photographers for our wedding, Chris stood out from the rest. His photos really captured feelings. They were so genuine. When we received our personal photos back they were even more beautiful than we had anticipated. We can't recommend him enough!!! He was kind, organized, was more than fair in his pricing and found a way to make camera shy people very comfortable. Chris, thank you again for capturing the best day ever in the best way possible!

As I look through our wedding photos I am in awe of the moments Chris was able to capture! I am in love with the posed photos and am doubled over with laughter at the candid ones. I don't know how he was able to be everywhere and capture everything but he truly did! I could not recommend him enough if you are looking to hire a wedding photographer that can capture the true essence of your day! Chris thank you once again!

Both times we got tons of great photos out of it which is saying a lot because my partner and I are awkward and uncomfortable in front of a camera. Candid shots are a personal fav and Chris captures the natural vibe, smiles and laughter well in candid's. The ones in his portfolio are what sold me on picking him because I could feel the emotions captured.What I love most is the quantity of quality pictures you get back. This right here makes the investment so worth it. Where others significantly limit the number of photos received in a session, with Chris, you definitely feel like you are getting what you paid (in the good way). Especially for those who have a harder time understand just how much work and expense goes into photography to justify cost.Some personal favourites, but by no means, the only. It's really hard to narrow down. :)

Chris is such a fantastic photographer. Right from the beginning he was professional and easy to work with. His emotional and candid style really caught our attention and he absolutely came through for us. We did an engagement shoot with him as well (after signing our wedding contract) and those photos were amazing as well! For the ceremony and reception, we hardly knew he was there. He stayed out of the way and stealthily moved around to get the best shots. We asked him to take us somewhere for the bridal party shoot, not knowing much about the area, and he knew just where to go for the best scenery and the epic shots everyone wants.All said and done, Chris was fantastic and I highly recommend him.

Chris was our wedding photographer this summer, and he did such an amazing job! Our engagement photos and wedding photos were beautiful, and our guests/family have been raving about them. I loved how Chris not only did a great job at setting up shots, but he also caught so many wonderful candid shots. We have photos with almost every single wedding guest because he did such a thorough job.

Chris was the photographer for our wedding in Nanaimo in June 2022. He did such an amazing job of capturing natural photos of our guests, and allowing their true beauty to shine through. The wedding photos were incredible and captured the essence of the whole day - from start to finish. We didn't have a videographer, so the photos were very important and we love how they turned out. Chris was great to work with. I highly recommend his services.

We LOVED having Chris as our photographer for our engagement photos and our wedding. He was friendly, funny, efficient, and professional. He got the job done and made sure we had all the shots we wanted, (which was a long list.) He seemed to capture all the special moments beautifully and had creative ideas of his own that he wanted to do. I HIGHLY recommend Chris for your wedding photos! All of our guests also loved our photos and asked me multiple times who our photographer was and said that they wanted him for their future weddings or just wanted to know who he was! :) I chose him 6 years ago, before I was even engaged, when I saw a university friends' wedding photos. :) I knew I wanted him then, and I don't regret my decision. Researching photographers can be a daunting task, and for someone like myself with high expectations, the more websites you visit, the more things start to blur together and you may find you can no longer tell one photographer from the other.That isn't the case with CB Photography. His pictures stood out from the beginning, and never became confused with anything else. Never blurred. Never seemed indistinct.I must have gone through looking at over 200 wedding photographers before choosing Chris Boar as our photographer.He was clear from the beginning with what he offered. When we first contacted him, he ensured that we had a telephone conversation that asked all the right questions. I truly felt from the beginning that our wedding photography was in capable, experienced hands.On the day of the wedding, Chris was a pleasure to work with - he knew when to stand back, and when to take charge. Most of the photos that we received, I hadn't even realized he had been present for them! He is so unobtrusive in a way that lets you fully enjoy your day. However, when the photos came back, we were beyond thrilled with the quality, the emotion, the things that we experienced and didn't want to forget, as well as the moments we would've otherwise missed.He turned mundane locations into magical scenes. He performs magic with the camera, and it seemed as though he didn't need to work with the light, the light works with him.The worst part of choosing him for a wedding photographer is that I now can't pick a favourite photo from my wedding! Can I have 580 photos all be tied for Top 10"? He truly gave me a wedding album that does not have a single "dud" photo in the lot.Having Chris film our wedding was a wonderful experience
