Yes, i did have an appointment. The security guard was very pleasant, greeted people with a smile, and took time to explain to people the procedures. The person at the front desk kept things quick and straight forward. My number got called within 5 minutes and the teller was able to find my vehicle, which had been archived from the archives (placed in storage some 22 years ago) no complaints this time. Lol

Got refused service despite their website saying we can get served without an appointment. Would give negative 5 stars if I could. Then to go back on thir site to have the earliest appointment over 2 months away. All this to get an answer to a simple question. To top it all off the security guard that refused my entry was very rude and told me to drive about a half hour to another location if I wanted service.UPDATE :So this is the location they send us to 13000 Sherbrooke E and this is the result. People lined up into the parking lot partially blocking an entry way for cars. Good job SAAQ.

Thanks Kevin!there was long line. I stood in the wrong line for 45 minutes. but guy Kevin was quick to help and fix the problem. same problem could not be solved by two employees who spoke exclusively french and doesn’t pay attention.

I tried hard to successfully book the appointment of transferring my Ontarian license to Quebec 2 months ago. I was waived on waiting in the queue and waited for about 30 mins to be served. The staff was friendly and able to speak English if needed, only the SAAQ booking system is really undeveloped. For people from Ontario, remember you need to provide Driver History instead of Driver Record for your driving experience to be recognized.

Always long lines. You think you’re arriving in advance and there’s already a bunch of people waiting around outside.. It’s busy all the time here and the staff is consistently rude. I hate coming here. Thankfully I don’t have to go very often. When I came for my driving test the wait was so long!! And the person evaluating me was disgustingly rude.

If I can give 0 star I will give 0 star without hesitation. The front desk’s altitude is extremely rude to me. I am not sure this is because I am quite Asian. For my first visit, I told her I’m an international student, she shouted at me to wait. I made an appointment for another visit and she is very rude again towards me. Her expression shows how impatient she is although I’m very polite to her. I asked for her name, saying that I wanted to file a complaint and she called two security with an attention to get me out.

Today coming at 8am, I was told I had to come at 6am to take a coupon since there was no any appointment online and everywhere it looks like this situation. Is it normal?

Where does it makes sense!!no one was here with appointment..yet I still waited in front of the door with only 4 people in front of me...the Wait is freeking hours ..like what kind of service is this..they have zero strategy to minimize the nonsense..except give coupon to waste gaz and go somewhere else..and why people that lives in the surrounding area do not have priority over people that comes from some where else?.. it makes no sense.. next appointment February yet you 7mn away from me.

I tried to book an appt in any SAAQ available for car registration, even outside Montreal. There was absolutely nothing available for the next 2 months. Given that I only have a certain number of days to register the car and obtain my license plate,I I had no other choice but to go without an appt. I arrived one day at 8 a.m.,and the security told me that in order to go in, I had to be there before 7:30 am. (Keep in mind that this office opens at 8:30 am) I came in the next day at 6:30 am, and I was so naive to think that I would be among the first people arriving. To my surprise,there were already about 150 people making the line,everybody as annoyed and sleep depived as me. After waiting,at 8:30, a nice SAAQ employee came and told me (and others line) that for what I wanted to do, I had 2 options, either go now to another office in Mintre7al Nord, or come ack at 1:30 pm. So, I chose to go to the other office, given that I did not want to cut my day in half. All in all, it was an extremely hard experience. Make sure you bring a folding chair. I just want to thank our government for using our taxes money to harass companies and individuals regarding the super important matter of the use of the French language, instead of hiring more employees in such offices like the SAAQ. Very nice job,you are definitely making voters happy!
