I didn't like the place as the noodles were not good. I had rice noodles over miso (wasn't tasty) and my husband had ramen noodles. He ordered a medium spicy dish. But his noodles were too spicy. Too bad the waiters didn't warn him about it. In the end, none of us enjoyed the food. Therefore, 2 stars.

Got the medium Black Garlic Tonkotsu with pork belly and chicken. The broth was so rich 10/10. The toppings were all good in their own way. Would recommend this place if you're looking for a hearty meal. Only downside is that you might have to wait in line to be seated as this place does not take reservations. Overall, a great experience!

As a Ramen Rookie, I was pleasantly surprised. The place was packed, and we got in right before the lineup formed outside. It was a nice winter day, but it says a lot when people will wait outside for a half hour just to get in!

First time there last night. Was the first at the door so waited in the heated entrance for about 15min and got in.Once in we ordered the Chicken Karaage which were fantastic little fried chicken pieces with a wasabi dip (first one i went way too hard and got the classic wasabi overload so be careful but it’s well worth it. For a main i got the Koichi Signature with Chicken and medium heat. My lady got the shio broth with chicken mild heat. Needless to say these were both super delicious and incredibly different from eachother. Will be coming back need to explore the menu more. The experience overall id give it 6 stars if i could.

One of the nicest placed to visit to satisfy your ramen cravings. They really had some really nice options. Being a vegetarian,I tired veggies options and its really good.worth a try.

Good ramen, the mild spicy was too spicy for me so I would get very mild. The pork belly isn’t the soft, melts in your mouth type, it’s kind of like crunchy bacon so I would prefer soft pork honestly. I enjoyed the noodles and toppings.The miso didn’t come with egg so I added it in. The other ramen that do come with egg only come with half unfortunately.The chicken karaage is good! As a non wasabi lover, I asked for some spicy mayo which they were kind to provide.The interior is very nice and cozy and service was great.

The place was alright. Maybe it was not just the day, but the service was quite slow. The food was okay. Took a lot of time though and was just underwhelming. The gyoza was good and even the gyoza was nice. The curry ramen was also good. The tofu and chicken was bland and could have some flavour, marination.

Koichi Ramen is definitely the best out of all other ramen places and my most favourite ramen spot in Ottawa. I have been there twice and they never disappoint me.I always get their Vegetarian Miso broth with tofu. Their broth has the perfect consistency and perfect spice level. The noodles go perfect with the broth - not too thick, not too thin. The best vegetarian/vegan ramen in Ottawa for sure!I have also tried Vegetable Gyoza and Vegetable Korokke and they were both delicious. They also let you substitute any toppings for no extra charge - which is something I like about them. Their menu prices are reasonable as well.Overall best value for your bucks.
