HONEST REVIEW ALERT -Where do we even begin?What started as a complementary session due to Covid turned into us hiring Lisa to assist with our wedding. Three months before the wedding we ended up having to change venues which in the end became a godsend. I, the Bride, had done much of the planning and hiring a vendors myself and at times questioned why we had hired Lisa. I felt as if I had done a lot of the legwork already. At moments correspondence was “short” though professional. When it came down to crunch time Lisa far surpassed our expectations. For example, the day before the wedding Lisa sensed via text I was getting a teensy bit stressed… She arrived at the venue, gave me a hug and told me “I got this”. And did she ever.The money we spent hiring Lisa was unequivocally the best money we spent.To be completely honest I don’t know how we would’ve done it without her. And while we never anticipated we would hire a wedding coordinator; I have a passion for floral arrangements and decor set up, Lisa proved to be invaluable asset. Lisa thought of details we would never have thought of. The day of the wedding we were able to completely focus on each other, our kids, and guests.Lisa is hard working, warm, intelligent, with a keen sense of style. If you are lucky enough to have found Mountain Bride and her team, we can promise that you will be over the moon with your wedding and every moment leading up to it. We are absolutely elated with our wedding and we are still hearing about it from all of our guests and friends who were a part of our day.Mountain Bride - Lisa, helped my husband and I plan our incredible 170-person wedding in Fairmont Hot Springs BC in July of 2019 while we were living in the United States. Her timely responses and clear communication via email, Skype, and phone conversation kept our minds at ease while we were living out of the country and working to finalize major (and minor) details for our big day. When able, we also met up with Lisa at her wonderful studio in Calgary and she wasted no time delving right into the planning details. We were met with an open mind to our own ideas and also thoughtful responses when we needed guidance. With Lisa’s organizational skills and creative eye for design we were able to plan the wedding of our dreams: from babysitting services for our guests, RSVP coordination, wedding website design, save the dates and invitations, table settings, ceremony and reception seating charts, live bands, and precise (and on track) budgets – she really does do it ALL.On the day of our wedding Mountain Bride’s team were able to organize our bridal party and provided a schedule – down to the five-minute interval – to keep everyone on track! Neither my husband nor I looked at our phones or a clock all day as Lisa’s team ensured we were on time and prepared for the upcoming events throughout the day. Our dream was to have a short and sweet ceremony with long night of partying afterwards at our elegantly decorated ski chalet reception; Mountain Bride was able to fulfill every wish and beyond what we could have expected for our day!A couple of our vendors were personal friends of ours, namely our photographer and makeup artist: we were mindful in choosing a planner that valued relationships among the entire “machine” that was our wedding. Lisa and her team were able to graciously manage all our vendors, venue, (and some of our guests) in a way that we truly feel represented values we have as a couple and we are so grateful for her friendly and structured approach to our most special and memorable day.After our wedding weekend Lisa continued to help us with finalizing payments and addressing any loose ends that we felt that we had. We plan on only getting married this one time, but if we were to do it again, we would hire Mountain Bride again the world over! What a wedding! What a great investment! We honestly don’t know what we would’ve done without Mountain Bride!The time and effort that Mountain Bride put into our wedding planning surely didn’t go unnoticed. From the countless hours they dedicated to us in communication, to vendor recommendations, and facilitating vendor communications, to contracts management, and maintaining our budget; they did it all!Mountain bride took the load off of us as the bride and groom and made it their priority to take lead on everything wedding related to ensure we had a fun, memorable, and stress-free experience all throughout.Lisa Grosso was outstanding in how she dealt with everything. Amazing wedding planner service! Lisa and Jackie really helped us to pull off our dream wedding in Banff. There were a few last minute changes but Lisa managed to get it all sorted and even helped put up our hand built structure over our long table to create our woodlands theme!They put us in touch with great vendors and even helped retrieve our forgotten laser engraved name tags and wedding favours after the wedding. This was our 2nd reception because COVID prevented my family from coming over to Australia where we originally tied the knot, but the team handled it all the same :)If you want personalized quality planning, definitely get in touch with Mountain Bride!

We hired Lisa for our wedding coordination and it was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Lisa was so detail-oriented during our pre-wedding meetings, helping us catch little things that we didn't think of. Both Lisa and Chelsea were so lovely on our wedding day, making our entire day seamless. I was actually able to enjoy my wedding without having to worry about the logistics! We couldn't be happier with the services Lisa provided and wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding coordinator!

My first review somehow disappeared. I posted one after my wedding and saw it was no longer there. I thought it was strange how she had all perfect ratings. I’m posting my honest review below:First off... I would like to say I am honestly amazed at all the 5 stars for Mountain Bride. They have strong points, but they also have weak points too. I am writing my review as honest and detailed as I can to help future brides.Pros1.Decor was AMAZING. They really brought our dream to life, the room was really incredible2. They reused flowers from ceremony to keep costs down, and stayed on budget3. The rehearsal went great. It was quick and Lisa answered all questions4. During the morning of they were strict so everyone would stay on time which was great5. Took over communication with most vendors6. Chose reliable vendors that were both talented and showed up on timeCons1. They did not follow the timeline properly. I myself had to get everyone to do the bouquet toss and garter toss. I myself also had to get everyone outside to do the sparkler event, both were planned for specific times on my itinerary, but neither were on time and my planner was going to leave before we did these events. I caught her before she left and mentioned these things that were missed. She did stay and help get them finished, but most guests were gone by then so it was disappointing2. Did not communicate to the MC about our guestbook like discussed prior, which was left mostly unsigned or signed improperly3. They booked the wrong date for the flowers - two days after the wedding4. They booked one musician for the ceremony instead of two and didn't catch it. My husband caught it thankfully5. Invites - I sent them two spreadsheets, one with my guests and one with my husband's guests. They only included my husband's guests on the invitations and when I said there was a mistake they denied it until I forwarded the old email over and told them there were two spreadsheets not one, and everyone needed to be included. Luckily we caught it in time.6. Did not put on the cake topper I handed them the morning of and didn't realize until it was too late so it was never used7. Waited too long to book things and then I missed out on a few vendors I wanted due to them already being booked8. Missed one of the vendors at the dinner table and they didn't end up eating the whole day and got upset. I had to speak to the planner to get the vendor fed.9. Our planner got our table runners off etsy which was great so we could match the right theme, but then they kept them when we paid for them which I thought was kind of strange12. Meeting with our planner was always so difficult. We are busy, but so is she, and finding a time to meet online was hard13. Poor communication, they often had to ask me the same things 2-4 times14. A few of my vendors did not want to work with Lisa. Getting my cake was difficult, I had to get a family member to go get it because the cake person refused to work with her. This was not the only vendor that had issues with Mountain Bride.15. Ordered cafe lights twice (which was fixed but should have been caught the first time)I honestly didn’t care much for a lot of things about my wedding. But choosing this wedding planner was a mistake and I was overall disappointed with their services. There are better options out there. I paid the most expensive and extensive service, and was left stressed and annoyed way too many times during the process. They definitely had their strong points, but the cons outweighed the pros for me.

Morgan,I don't even know where to begin, our day was absolutely perfect and that's a huge thanks to you. It was amazing getting to know you over the last six months and having you apart of our special day. Everything turned out absolutely perfect and I have zero complaints from the day. You were so patient and accommodating throughout the experience, you made it so easy to plan the wedding with also helping us stay within budget and keeping everyone on track on day of. We cannot thank you enough! It felt like you were just part of the group, you have a great personality!Lisa, thank you as well for all of your help in between Morgan being away. You also made the experience so easy and were so quick to get things done. Ron and I were so pleased with Lisa and her team right from the first meeting. All the way through she managed every detail and offered great advice based on her in depth knowledge and experience. Then, the wedding day....we were absolutely blown away by how smooth it went. Lisa and her team tended to every detail with professionalism, care and efficiency. Our guests commented on the incredible ambience that Mountain Bride created and noticed ease and flow throughout the entire event. The decor was absolutely stunning!!!Most importantly, we got to show up on our very special day, be present and enjoy incredible moment after incredible moment because of Lisa and her team. We are so grateful and recommend Mountain Bride 100%

I sent them two spreadsheets, one with my guests and one with my husband's guests. They only included my husband's guests on the invitations and when I said there was a mistake they denied it until I forwarded the old email over and told them there were two spreadsheets sent, not one, and everyone needed to be included. Luckily we caught it in time. There were other issues with our invitations as well.6. We preferred to pay by credit card and told her this multiple times, but a lot of the vendors she was booking require e-transfers, making it harder to keep track of the wedding expenses.7. I gave my wedding planner our cake topper the morning of, but it was never placed on the cake.8. They waited too long to book things and then I missed out on vendors I wanted.9. My planner forgot about one of the vendors at the reception so they didn't get fed. They complained to multiple people and I had to go to my planner and ask them to feed the forgotten vendor.10. Our planner got our table runners off Esty which was great, so we could match the right theme, but then they kept them when we paid for them which I thought was kind of strange.11. Meeting with our planner was always so difficult. We are busy, but so is she, and finding a time to meet online was hard.12. Poor communication, I found I was often repeating myself.13. A few of my vendors did not like working with Lisa. Getting my wedding cake was difficult, I had to get a family member to go get it because Kake refused to work with her. This was not the only vendor that had issues working with Mountain Bride.I honestly didn’t care much for a lot of things about my wedding. But choosing this wedding planner was a mistake and I was more stressed than happy during the planning process. They did some great things, but as a planner I feel like the pros should outweigh the cons. I am genuinely shocked by all the 5 star reviews. Day after day, they kept making errors, and what I listed isn't even everything. We paid for the most expensive/extensive service, and had a wedding of around 170 people. I kept this opinion to myself until now because I was scared that they would care less about my wedding if I said anything. They definitely had their strong points, and the wedding day turned out great, but I (and all of my friends and family) do not recommend Mountain Bride.
