*****update***After contact with the manager, we were invited to return to Match for a second chance. We returned for another fight and it was like night and day. Our server was excellent and extremely friendly, our seats were great, and our food was excellent. Thank you Match Eatery for making it right!***************************************My husband and I went to this restaurant for the first time, in order to watch a ufc match. We had a great experience over all. One of our servers was civil, but the rest of the staff was warm and friendly. My food was good, but my husband didn’t like the wings he got. But we liked the atmosphere and the view of the fights. However, we returned for another ufc fight and were treated very poorly. The waitress obviously didn’t want to be there. There were plenty of tables open but she refused to seat us anywhere but an empty table with a very poor view of the tvs, or we had the option of sitting at the bar. I have mobility issues so bar stools are too difficult to sit on. There was one table that was empty and had a great view of the big screen tv, but we were told we couldn’t have it because the previous occupant had left but indicated he might be back later for dessert…..might….we decided to leave. This restaurant has a lot of potential but some of the staff is killing it. We would love to return and enjoy ufc nights, but are hesitant after our last experience.

Went to Match for my partner and I’s anniversary dinner. Everything was perfect, the food, the service, the atmosphere, absolutely perfect! I highly recommend eating here. My partner had steak and I had chicken, everything was perfection.

Worst restaurant in Sarnia! We had to wait 1 hour to get our food and the plate was more hotter than the food. The waitress (Judy)who attended us clearly has some attitude issues. She was taking the orders on her notepad and when we cancelled one of the desert from the order list, she actually scratched it pretty badly instead of just stroking it off. And when we are finally making the payment, she literally throw the card back to us on the table instead of politely giving it back to our hand. She also sarcastically read the paid amount and the food price loud before giving us the receipt. You are getting the lowest amount of tips for a reason! Should not have given tips at all. Ruined my whole evening with such a bad service. Will never go there again!

Excellent food and atmosphere. Have an amazing chef. Alex and Crystal are top notch managers who are fantastic with engaging guests. Drinks are yummers.. Sam(antha) is one of the best servers i have ever had...down right spiferific! The patio! What a view...and a little cooler on those super hot days, heaters when it cools down.

Looked great when we walked in. Good layout, open spaces, amazing views of the waterfront and great ambience, with the exception of the music playing. Were greeted and seated promptly, and server was friendly and polite. Wasn't impressed with the menu options; it looks to be geared more towards 'quick bites' than entrees except there is nothing quick about it. Kitchen was slow and forgot to make one of the orders so meals came at different times. Server was great about it and apologized for the error. Presentation was blah and although meat was all cooked perfectly, it was tasteless and getting cold. Ceasars from the bar were amazing though and I recommend any of the five kinds offered! Price was reasonable if only the food was better. Might go back in a few months to try the patio and see if it has improved.

I have been ordering from this establishment for over a year with no problems. Food always delicious. I had two occasions recently where I needed to request a refund through skip because my order was cold and soggy when it arrived at my home over an hour and a half after ordering. Since that instance, anytime I have tried to place an order they have rejected it.Disappointed to see that this is how they deal with their own mistakes. (I guess their rating reflect the poor management...)

My wife and I took our mothers and grandmothers out for Mother’s Day brunch. We had a very similar experience as the lady that left a review below.Service was alright but the food was awful! I ordered the pulled pork eggs benny & the pork was in a chunk and had no flavour. The worst part was that the egg was HARD BOILED. How do you mess up cooking an egg? We had 1 piece of orange on the side that is considered as “side of fruit”. The tator tots (odd choice for breakfast) were cold.My wife purchased the pulled pork eggs benny on a German pretzel with cheese sauce. The pork was also awful and the cheese sauce was cold.I hate leaving bad reviews but when you mess up an egg- I had to say something. Very disappointed because we have been to the match before for brunch years ago and it was very delicious. We will not be back unfortunately.

The food was good. The price is okay. The ambience is fine. My little disappointment today was due to my wife's birthday. I placed a reservation through the website, they asked what was the occasion, so I was expecting a little thing to show you are special to us

First time to Match. Loved it! Food, server(Alina) and atmosphere were amazing! What a view from the patio. We were treated to a gorgeous sunset. If ya like brussel sprouts try the OMG sprouts, wow! Well done Match
