What a delicious stop for a late lunch on our Cabot trail journey! We went here later on in the afternoon in mid-Sept and we were the only guests here for a while. Their bakery display were sold out of many options (as expected this late in the day), but after reading previous reviews on the cookies, we swooped up the last remaining 4 cookies and they were as good as I had hoped! Chewy, soft, full of flavour, and basically to die for. Definitely grab a few more than you think you’d eat! Their meringue pie was also very delicious.Off their lunch menu, we ordered the snow crab sandwich on porridge bread (highly recommend trying the porridge bread!!), seafood chowder and fish & chips (not pictured). Everything was extremely tasty and the service was great. Not to mention their patio view is pure tranquility. I cannot recommend this place enough!

I stopped by for a seafood chowder to go. The view behind the restaurant is beautiful and calm. I love the bacon they put in the chowder.

Excellent potato leek soup and snow crab sandwich!! Pay the extra .50 and take the tea biscuit home or have it for dessert!! Melts in your mouth.Will be back before we head home!!Don't drive by without stopping.Lots of locals coming in for treats " aka baked goods made on site!!"

Just ate here and can't say enough great things about this place. What a gem. The seafood chowder was delicious (much better than those we have had in fancier restaurants so far) as was the fish and chips. A lovely piece of panko crusted fish and house cut fries cooked to perfection. All at a great price. There is also a bakery with delicious looking treats.

Amazing Breakfast place with an amazing view. Server did not oversold the breakfast sausage and the porridge toast as they were both amazing. Highly recommend this place especially if you're on an early morning Cabot Trail run.

Lovely place to grab a coffee and bake goods!Passed by this cute cafe with an interesting breakfast menu and freshly baked goods.We ordered the turnovers, scones, feta and spinach pastry rolls. They were all freshly made and super delicious!Lots of parking around the building and also a trail to walk by the beach near by.Highly recommend this place!

Came here for breakfast. The menu has only a handful of options, but is super on point - the eggs are fresh, the bacon is delicious, and they make their own bread. However, the real jem of this place is the pecan butter tarts. They are insane! We took one for the road, and I wish I knew it when we were there, because I would take 10 of these. So so good! A must when visiting cabot trail.

Clucking Hen Cafe & Bakery ( Seasonal may- October)
This was the best food we had on the island. The crab sandwich was perfectly fresh and filling, served on some of the best sandwich bread I’ve ever had. We took some brownies to go and almost had to turn around to get more. So good.
