Rating their online customer service one star and that’s being generous. I filled out an online form because I was locked out of my account, waited 2 days for a response by email to say that it looks as though I was able to log on, nope, still locked out. Why doesn’t this company allow users to reactivate their account by generating a new password online without the unnecessary frustration of having to fill out a useless online form?

The worst customer service I’ve experienced in my life. Our power was cut off due to the previous owner not paying. We were told a tech would be coming between 8-12, we waited in the middle of December until 2pm when the tech came. Was on the phone with them the whole time and was constantly told they were sorry but they hadn’t done anything wrong. Fire the whole customer service staff.

24 hours power outage in the area and no one has been sent to work on it and fix. This is really outrageous.

Be aware of their two billing choices, Tiered and Time of Use, no matter what you choose in the end they will impose whatever option they wish. We chose Tiered, in November it was fine and in December they changed us back to TOS, without asking us

What a bad service... waiting for a power connection since 10am... 11 hours!!! and they promised to come today. No power, no agent, nor response. This what you pay for having a monopoly in this country. No competition=bad service+ expensive products!!!

Alectra is a scam company that has monopoly over your utilities.Terribly unethical and unlawful practices.Home owners beware: when you buy or sell your house, you MUST take photos of your meters. I was scammed for hundreds of dollars of water charges in moving.Whether intentional or out of laziness, Alectra does not take readings on the closing dates, which are regular week days. They will come and take the reading on the Friday either before or after the closing date. If your counter party (seller or buyer) has abused the water usage, then you are scammed into paying for their usage.I have consulted my lawyer regarding this, and she advised that the amount of money ($350 in each closing) may not be worth going to small claims court ($150 registration fee + legal fees + time spent going to court). This is how Alectra keeps their scammed money.Alectra bills say actual reading"

Power went out at 10:50 pm in my Markham neighbourhood after a transformer blew near my house. Took them two phone calls and wasn’t restored till 2:10 am

Upon contacting Alectra they claimed that the overcharge is due to their faulty meter" reading which has been "undercharging" us for the past year

I have been waiting for more than 8 weeks now so that a technician can finalise the layout for my service upgrade!!! If you guys are busy with lots of service upgrade requests then hire more people! This is not customer's problem.
