My family and I rented a cottage here for two nights....it was amazing! My only complaint is that we didn't book it for long enough. The lake was perfect for swimming and canoeing, we had a bald eagle sighting! And two glorious sunsets. Can't wait to go back!

Amazing! There are so many good things I can say about this place I don't know where to begin, so I will try to say a little about each in the order of importance to us as a traveling group of friends (two couples). The property:We stayed in the two bedroom cottage up on the hill behind Sarah and Keiths house. The cottage was shaded in the trees so it was always cool and comfortable even on a really hot day. It had everything you would need for a comfortable convenient stay, along with some fun cottage style decour. The deck on the back was private and spacious enough for 4 or 5 people comfortably. Once you settle in and drop your luggage, you can take a walk down the hill (where you can pick and eat blackberries if they are in season) and discover where you will most likely spend 90% of your time. You will find one of the most spacious, beautiful, and accessable sandy lake shorelines you may ever see. Lots of room for fun activities, big communal firepit with bench seating and lots of lawn chairs. The lake itself is large and beautiful with views all around the lake. It is warm and spring fed with a nice sandy area for wading into the water or relaxing in the shallows. There were no leaches that we seen which is rare for a lake. the lake is home to different types of fish, the loons, some turtles and the occasional bird of prey. They have wood available for firepits, floaties, noodles, kayaks, canoe, paddle boat, a launch area floating dock, loungers etc. You could swim and tan all day or throw a frisbee around. They have washer toss boxes and up top they have horse shoes. But by the lake is where you will most likely spend every second you can. It is beautiful. The Loons had younglings when we were there and the sound of them as you relax or paddle around the lake is enough to make the trip worth while. I think you would have to see it to understand how wonderful it truly is. During our stay Keith had built a beautiful cottage style shed for all of the water toys, and another fully equipt washroom so you don't have to walk the hill to get back to your cottage. You could literally stay down there from morning till night. The hosts:Sarah and Keith are wonderful people. Great hospitality and information, friendly and hardworking. We had lots of chances to talk to them during our stay and looked forward to each encounter. They have three young daughters who were also very hospitable and polite. One big beautiful family. You might not ever meet nicer people.Other things to note:Quiet but active lake. It is peaceful and quiet. Most nights by the fire all you hear is the crackling of burning wood, the occasional voice or laughter drift across the lake and the loons and peepers. you can enjoy the lighting at the cottages all around the lake. Everyone we met was very friendly. In the day time the lake has lots of canoes, kayaks, paddle boards, some small fishing boats and the occasional speed boat going by. There are also lots of people swimming in the clear warm water. A true lake experience.Sarah and Keith also have lots of chickens and hens which you can feed and get eggs from for your breakfast if you desire.I could go on and on but you just have to see it for yourself to get the true impact of this beautiful getaway. We can't wait to return.
