A great addition to the Lower Don Trail. These cast concrete sculptures by artist Duane Linklater, who is Omaskêko Cree from Moose Cree First Nation, are replicas of gargoyles and grotesques from Toronto historic buildings. Nice to see work like this in a public, and somewhat unexpected spot.

This area is a first for me. Maybe I over looked it for so many years and today walked right into it and stuck out with all the snow covering the ground. Interesting area and stone carvings. Got to remember this spot in the summer and take some more photos.

A hidden gem along the Don Valley Trails! This sculpture park is both interactive (as you can perch on the heads and backs of the many beasts) and a beauty! A perfect sight for a weekend stroll and a great place to practice some sketching!

Another untouched and unexpected surprise when biking along the Don trail. It's quaint with a nice pull off the bike trail to relax and admire. Not car accessible. I personally wouldn't make a trip out there just for this, but would couple it with other sights around the area like the brick works or Torden Mills.

Awesome little unexpected treasure alongside the trail out of nowhere.Recorded a few tracks with my band Polson out here on battery power, and the vibes were good.Awesome place to stop and have a little snack or lunch before continuing down the trail.

These are a nice addition to the trails. I've seen them from above via the subway between Broadview and Castle Frank stations but didn't realize they were sculptures until I actually walked the trail. They're cool and definitely worth a visit.

A great surprising find on the lower don trail south of Pottery Road. It would be nice if there was some signage to indicate that they are by Duane Linklater. It showed up on the gps cycling app and they are called Monsters for Beauty. Amazing sculptures by a talented artist. Definitely a hidden gem in the heart of the city that deserves recognition. The gargoyles and sleeping sculpture and woman are lifelike with great attention to detail. We loved them!
