Picked up our beautiful canoe. Excellent customer service and quality product. They managed to get our canoe shipped in to spite the difficulty of COVID and shipping issues. Couldn’t be more pleased.

Wanted to try kayak fishing and was a little apprehensive about what sort of style and price point to start at. The folks here are very knowledgeable about both the sport and the local waters. I was able to set my mind at ease and pick a unit well within my price range for starting out and am having a blast. Taking it to NB this weekend to have a go at some of my favourite bass and chain pickeral spots.Thanks Bob.

Purchased two kayaks last year. Had great service and delivery to my cottage. They have a good selection locally and will bring in many more next day from the warehouse on request.

I have purchased 3 kayaks from here, been a great experience every time! Recently purchased the wilderness systems recon 120 and added the helix pedal drive, an unbelievable fishing machine!! Extremely stable and comfortable!

I first contacted them asking about canoes. They responded recommending a Scott canoe and said it was in stock to look at so I drove to the store to see the boat. They dont keep their hours updated on Google so it wasnt open as it turns out they have seasonal hours.I was told they wouldnt be open for a few more weeks so I looked for boats elsewhere and eventually bought a boat from another company. I later asked if they do gelcoat repair on canoes which they do but I was informed they only offer that if you purchase from them. When I said this seems punitive he told me it would be like asking Ford to work on a chev which is somewhat ironic as most body shops can work on any vehicle and clear and white gelcoat repair on carbon fibre is not very manufacturer specific. The manufacturer of my canoe is from Ontario and specifically advised me anyone could easily do this repair and they could even provide me the exact gelcoat they use though it's not necessary.

Bought a canoe here 10 years ago and just brought my daughter in for her first kayak. The gear they sell here will last you a lifetime and the people who work here make you feel like you're part of the family. Outstanding service and advice from some wonderful people. This place has no physical location in the HRM.Called to find the location and the staff was very pleasant and professional, but no store to browse in.

I recently just took ownership of my new Clipper Cascade canoe through Bob and Dena at Freedom Canoe and Kayak. I really have to say it was a great experience. Prior to talking with them I had never even heard of the brand Clipper but after speaking with Bob for a little while over the phone I very quickly realized that he knew why he was talking about. He took all my needs and gave me some choices and some advise of what to buy and not to buy based on me and what I plan to do with my canoe. Obviously it wasn’t a quick process to get it due to pandemic shortages and shipping delays but any time I had a question they were almost instant to respond. I really can’t say enough good things about the process as it was super easy from a customer perspective. They really took care of everything. As for my new Clipper, I love it. It’s a great canoe and rides well through the water. As a 6 foot 5 guy I find it hard to find canoes that are comfortable but this one is great for me. Definitely would recommend for someone who is tall or just big in general as I can comfortably fit in the bow or stern seat which usually never happens. All in all if you need a canoe or kayak search these guys out as their expertise alone is worth it and the products that they sell are top shelf.
