We had the great opportunity to share our wedding day with Helene and she captured the day in such a beautifully artistic and genuine way. We hired Helene to capture my mother's 75th birthday. We celebrated at High Tea, all in fancy dress at the Empress Hotel. Not only did she capture beautiful shots of this important day, she did it by seamlessly becoming a part of our afternoon and getting wonderful, natural images of my family being themselves and looking happy. Hélène is an amazingly talented photographer and being a gem of a human is icing on the cake. Hélène photographed our wedding and we could not be more pleased with the special moments she captured. My husband and I travelled from out of the country for our wedding and Hélène was ever so accommodating during the planning. She was absorbed into our big day as one of our guests all while capturing our beautiful day, even making a life long friend with my grandfather. Hélène was everything we could have asked for from a wedding photographer and much, much more. Helene was absolutely wonderful! She was so attentive to how the shadows were playing in the photos and to where the photo was going to be used (there were very specific guidelines for the photo that my company needed and she was so helpful in achieving them). She even lent me a scarf so that the contrast in black and white wasn’t so bad! 12/10 would recommend Helen to anybody needing photos done!

We learned about Hélène while visiting wedding venues in Victoria. Her wedding photography exuded certain emotions that really captivated us. She was very quick to respond and pleasant. And because we are from the states, communication was key.We shared what we were looking for -- i.e., full shots with lot of nature and nothing too traditional. But all in all we followed her direction and we couldn't be more happier how everything turned out. We were also able to squeeze in engagement photos couples of days before the big day.It was such a pleasure working with her and we cannot wait to return to BC for a family photoshoot in the future.

Prior to our wedding ceremony, Helene took our engagement photos, and not only are those photos outstanding, but Helene took the time and effort to connect with us and really get to know us and what we were looking for. That effort made our wedding weekend that much easier, as Helene felt like another guest, only one with a camera. Helene's photos were fantastic and captured the many moments of our multi cultural wedding, making sure that we had photos to capture all of the events and moments of the weekend. Helene balances kindness and patience with the leadership a photographer needs to timely get family and friends together and well photographed.
