For the business folks, this is a great spot to get a sliver of work done while you wait for your flight. It's semi quiet and the service is excellent. The food is also very delicious. Some of the best I've experienced in Newfoundland

I’d expect to pay more and understand food is usually overpriced at an airport. However asking if you wanted a top up on your coffee (small cup / drip coffee) and being charged for additional cup is unusual.

One of the worst burgers I ever had, and it was uneatable. Salad was smothered in dressing and very soggy. Beer recommendation was exactly totally off. Service was to take the order and give a bill and that was it, did not care in the slightest. Only option for a restaurant, they need some competition.

To have to wait over an hour and a half for fries and a salad, to then not even get the food and be told oh well its in the kitchen" and to still be expected to pay is ridiculous. If youre short staffed tell the customer that way they can make the decision on to order or not."

Couldn’t go lower than a 1 unfortunately. Got to the airport early to have a meal at yellow bellies (first time). Was temporarily closed because they ran out of clean glasses? Forks and knives? Said they’d open up in 15 minutes an hour later still closed What a joke! I wouldn’t recommend this so called eatery. Need more of a selection of places to eat in the airport.

Went for a quick breakfast before our flight, and ordered 2 breakfast plates. Prices were rather high, but we understand to some extent that that is the way things are these days. However the total bill came to $65 for two adults to have breakfast and some coffee. The waitress came and asked if we wanted a top up" on our coffee

I’ll start with saying I would give this a 0 star rating if possible. The service here is absolutely disgraceful. The lack of customer service is something I would expect from a business that was closed down. An over staffed business full of underachievers, no desire to earn a tip or even simply do their job. Food was mediocre at best! The burger was dry, burnt and flavourless. And the fries were cold. The meal wasn’t even delivered by my server. I was never actually served. I had to get the workers attention to order a drink, order food and 3 times to get a bill.As someone who travels weekly across the country, I would never recommend someone to enter this establishment.

Arrived at this ONLY open restaurant at St. John’s airport at 7 pm on a Wednesday evening to be told it was bar menu only (i,e. junk fried food )as only 1 person was working in the kitchen & that they would be closing at 8 pm (this despite many flights out of the airport, including mine, considerably later than this). At 7:15 they cordoned off the entrance & didn’t let anyone else in. Is this any way to run a restaurant? To run an airport? Bush league & reflects really badly on the resto & St Johns Airport.

Wanted something light to eat before my flight. Ordered the lettuce wraps with ground pork, carrot, water chestnuts and corn. The plate came out with 4 or 5 leaves of soft lettuce with little pieces of carrot sprinkled on top and a bowl of what looked like dog food, all the vegetables were mushed in. The bowl of ground pork was absolute mush and in a soupy sea of oil and sauce.You had to assemble the wraps yourself which was very difficult with the amount of oil and sauce. Which turned into a giant soggy mess using multiple napkins in the process. The ground pork mush itself tasted of straight up burnt food.If your looking for a meal on the lighter side or have digestive issues with heavier foods. Do yourself a favor and walk down to freshii instead. I wish I did!
