We bought a home that had incomplete renovations. The contracor we had original quote from prior to purchase got so busy they wouldn't be able to get to us in a decent amount of time so recommended Azbowa to complete our project. Troy with Azbowa, got the Reno's completed and passed final inspection within 8 months of starting a very large amount of finishing that was needed. We get many compliments from neighbours walking by over the final result, especially the wrap around stairs with built in bench and railings. The inside work was completed just as well, from levelling of floors and hardwood installation, mfg and installation of baseboards to match the rest of the house, addition of required railings, bringing existing railings to code, filling in ceiling gaps, resolving electrical deficiencies, smoke detector and sprinkler deficiencies, plumbing deficiencies, completion of an unfinished half bathroom, full inside and outside caulking and paint job, and other random incomplete or partially completed work that didn't meet code were also corrected by Azbowa and their recommended sub-trades. Troy was always just a text away for any questions or requests and even came back to fix some things that had been broken shortly after completion for us.

Alexandre and Ryan and their team did a first class job on a total kitchen reno. The tradesmen they provided were professional,friendly and efficient. Azbowa homes are a high quality contractor.

These guys built a fence for me to keep the dogs in and I'm really happy with the results. They care about doing it right and they were good guys to deal with. Cheers.

We met Alex through our kitchen designer and we were not disappointed. The sub trades were great, especially electrical and flooring. Alex and his crew worked very well with the cabinet builders and countertop suppliers. He was always a phone call away and was very thorough in his attention to detail. All the trades kept the work area very tidy and as neat as possible. We are really enjoying our new kitchen, TV room and powder room. We would highly recommend Azbowa Construction.

Azbowa Homes did an excellent job with the renovation of the lower level of our home. They checked in with us at every step, adjusted the plans based on our feedback and responded quickly when we contacted them with questions. March 1, 2023RE: Azbowa HomesBEFORE – way before this letter– I undertook a major renovation of my Nanaimo home. The contractor came recommended to me and then began a 7-year contractor-nightmare worthy of a TV reality show. I learned some priceless, painful lessons. One such lesson was the old, ‘one-bad-apple-spoils the whole-bunch’ adage. The corrupt, incompetent contractor I hired worked with his community of crooked, incompetent sub-trades which made it all worse. So when I came to my second reno, here in Victoria, I had some experience and some fears. I only mention this so you know the depth of experience for my full recommendation for Alex and Ryan. One more thing – I am a woman, alone and, in the construction industry, this is a huge vulnerability. For any of you women out there, Azbowa Homes will both take care of business and genuinely treat you as an equal, a rare and priceless experience in this industry.NOW with Azbowa Homes, we completed a substantial renovation. This was my experience:1. Collaboration: Whether at the design and problem-solving stage (by-laws, inspections, by-laws), we worked together to find solutions and sometimes workarounds where bylaws met real life. At all times, my opinions, wishes, needs and concerns were respected and suggestions evaluated fairly to arrive at mutually workable situations. Every. Single. Time.2. Sub-trades: Good contractors are surrounded by good tradespeople. All quotes were accurate and came in on budget, except for one where I was responsible for initiating a change from the original plan and the additional cost was both fair and reasonable. I was always welcomed at the construction site by Azbowa’s employees/contractors but also really enjoyed the sub-trades as well.3. Sourcing Materials: I was surprised at how open Alex and Ryan were to me finding & sourcing some of my own materials for the reno, (though I remained conscious of their timelines & sub-trades). I felt this gave me more control over and access to design elements that makes the reno truly mine.4. Billing practices: were transparent and, if questions arose, they were immediately answered and, (very few required) adjustments were made immediately. Communication was superlative and I always felt open to go to them with any request for information.5. Quality of Work: I have a fabulous renovation that people drool over.And the highest recommendation I could ever provide – especially given my prior experience – is that for my next reno my first and only call will be to Alex & Ryan at Azbowa Homes.
