Best taxi service I've experienced in the world!

Terrible service hung up in my ear.

First off, if you need a taxi in the Jasper area, ride with caribou cabs, great experience, very professional.So this was a bizarre experience. Our car broke down about five minutes out of Jasper. We called for a cab around 2:45, by 3:10 they hadn't shown up and we gave them a call that they didn't answer. We needed to be at the repair place by 4 so we called another company. They called back five minutes later and cleared up some ambiguity about our location and had us picked up within five minutes.We ended up in the auto depot about ten minutes later and paid the $15 fare to the other company. We tried to call jasper back and got no response. Then things got weird.Jasper cabs phoned back after almost 40 minutes of no communication and we cancelled the ride. They were annoyed, but we felt that after 40 minutes of waiting for a five minute ride it was reasonable. Since our directions hadn't been great (not knowing the area) we offered to pay $20 for their time (more than the cost of the fare). They demanded $50 for their time, more than triple the fare. I wasn't sure this was entirely fair and wanted to talk it over with my partner (also I needed to work out ordering car parts) they proceeded to call us from multiple phone numbers every two to four minutes for the next half hour. I reluctantly etransfered them the money just to get them to stop harassing me. They screwed up the etransfer and demanded I send it again immediately since their business would fall apart without this $50. I let them know I was busy booking a room for the night and would get around to it. They continued to call and text me until I was forced to block their phone number. Finally on my way to my hotel room (less than 1 and hour after the initial cab cooking, and almost as long as it took them to get back to us after our first phone call) someone leaned out of a cab window and literally yelled across the road at me that I owed him money and he'd get the cops involved. At this point, I felt like I was being extorted and harassed into paying for a service I didn't even get. I would've been fine paying in part for their time if they hadn't gone completely nuts on me.

Not a great experience for locals. A lot of drivers are rude and difficult to talk to, especially one of the night driver's who is an absolutely huge a**hole

Guy didn't start a meter and when we got dropped off we were told cash only. Seemed very sketchy especially the fact that he didn't have a meter in his van.

Picked up at the north end of the skyline trail, as booked. They were awesome! We were let down by Caribou cab who we originally booked and luckily checked the night before - they did not have our booking!!! After a bit of panic we booked with Dave and he arranged for his boss to pick us up the next morning. Whoohoo!!

Amazing service! Helped us in a very stressful situation.

Very lovely and accommodating, was available even during the fire and outages. Bless his soul.
