Al Mitchell Place
Staff were very helpful, very understanding, and considering the type of people they deal with frequently, quite pleasant. I was there for a few weeks, and can say I did not once have an issue with anyone there. Although thats not to say there was not people staying there I who could not have been problematic, it is after all a shelter. Clean living quarters. Decent food.

I stayed here for 7months before becoming a resident of Al Mitchell and theirs alot of thieves but besides that foods great staff as well.

The staff are great and the facilities could be good if the residents treated it and everyone else with some respect. There's too many people here who don't clean themselves or keep the noise down. Hard to get a good night sleep

Staff was nice enough and appeared to be kind. I wasn’t informed of rooms being tossed once daily which is kind of like sell to us in jail land which I’ve never been a part of yet I’ve been around people live in jail most of the lives and I can’t even deal with it can’t stay there. I mean well but I think it’s more for people have been institutionalized. Because you’re some strange reason I could not stay or Help with the invasion of privacy and insulting of intelligence. My hearts in the right place but directions are in the wrong. Just not for me. As well as your items and to be guarded and locked up in Festival Hall secure that is?

I know a few people that stay at the Al Mitchell place and if it wasn't for that organization my friend would probably still be on the street in the cold! any organization that helps somebody who's been kicked to the curb is okay in my world+they seem to be more lenient and respectful than other shelters in the ways that you are treated. Non-judgmental*

Unless you're a junky or enjoy being arround it and it being enabled,? Stay away. Also tons of theft happens there and staff does nothing about it. Some of the staff are very good and try very hard. Others? Horrible and clearly just need the experience on their resume. Glorified babysitters

I would actually give this place negative stars.They create more trauma in clients lives than they resolve.They smashed my art (my only source of income) after I was physically attacked by a man right in front of them and gave away my only place to live without reading my plan. They refuse to compensate me for the art.I witnessed more emotional, psychological and verbal abuse there then m I did on the actual streets of the DTES.I'm glad Google asked for but input today, as I'm sure the shelter was hoping this would be forgotten.Thanks for the reminder Google!Al Mitchell would be absolutely disgusted by the Lookout Society today.

Liked the sherlter while i stayed there the staff were mostly good two very nice ones who are real easy on the eyes just saying
