I have never purchased meat from here before. My son and I decided to purchase rib steaks and try them on our new pellet grill. The middle aged employee was annoyed because I requested the rib steaks be cut thinner. They were approx 1 inches thick or more. He rolled his eyes at me. I asked him why he was visibly annoyed by my request. He said he has never been asked to cut steaks thinner, he stated most people want them thicker. I advised him I needed them thinner to reduce cooking time. He still seemed annoyed. So disappointed. A full service butcher will accommodate a customer's personal preferences without being condescending.

Well, I have to say the crew at Strodes out did themselves. We ordered for 55 ppl. Pulled pork, chicken schnitzel, mac salad, creamy coleslaw, fruit tray, and vegetable tray and buns. Price amazing got more than enough food and was so good. Fast friendly service. Would definitely recommend them and will be using them again. Thanks for everything, ladies and gentlemen of strodes

Such a great place with friendly staff! Their lunch counter is soooo yummy. The chicken schnitzel is delicious......crispy being my ultimate favourite. They always have a great selection of different soups that change all the time. It is a must try if you are in the area!!

Neat store. Upscale bbq smoking area. Decent looking butcher counter. Lots of beef and had some chicken & smoked ribs. Got some schnitzel from the lunch counter. Got chicken & pork. Super salty ! It is as nasty salty. Someone needs to take the cooks salt shaker away. The chicken was inedible & the pork was less salty. But had an weird taste for schnitzel.I have bought schnitzel/ cutlets in many many places. Have never had any like this. If the chicken had 1/4 the salt. It would be good. The pork had a overpowering smoked breading ? Was weird.Might return to the butcher.Won’t buy from the lunch counter again.

Yesterday I was in Brantford so I popped in and ordered ribs & sausages. Then it occurred to me with activities & my drive home, I probably wouldn't get them into a fridge for 5 hours. I asked the guy serving me of they'd be ok for that long, he said it was risky, so then he jury-rigged a cooler out of a bag of ice, newspaper, and a bag!!! I got home almost 5 hours later and the ribs and sausages were still cool to the touch. The service was above and beyond. Always super friendly. Highly recommended.

Great food! Catered beef and chicken sandwiches were delicious. All the toppings and salad sides were great. Thank you for making the lunch for our volunteer event, we really enjoyed the hot meal after a rainy morning of tree planting. Good value for tasty food! Must try. I have yet to dine in so I’m looking forward to trying that and the smoked meat options that I heard great things about!

Great food and great atmosphere a real gem. After I finish off a whole sandwich I don’t feel real good about myself. Man is it good and Huuuuge! The pictures don’t do it justice.
