BELFOR Property Restoration

We had a water leak above our kitchen that we went through our insurance company to repair. Belfor contacted us right away and arranged to inspect the damage. The assessment was quick and pricing came as promised shortly thereafter. They delivered on the timeline they promised and you can't tell there was ever a leak.

Our kitchen and basement flooded jjust before Christmas on December 23. We called our insurance company and before I had hung up, Myles with Belfor was contacting me. He came to the house right away to review the damage and arranged for his crews to be there that night to set up fans. He continued to be quick to respond throughout the process and took the time to answer any questions we had. His crews were also great, was nice to not have to worry or deal with added headaches associated with restoration. Would definitely recommend.

We had a fully finished basement sewer backup. The crew showed up about an hour after my call with all equipment need to begin and went straight to work. They did not stop for the day until all the carpet was removed and floors sanitized. The crew were amazing and very professional. They worked everyday for 10 days to totally eliminate all bacteria associated with the sewage. We chose to continue with Belfor with the rebuild as they are preferred contractor for our insurance. Our PM Jim was on top of each stage and made sure we were informed of each step of the process. Regular meetings and check up of progress. The sub trades they use for flooring, plumbing, glass and drywall were also amazing. This was a very traumatic event for us but everyone involved in this rebuild was able to help us see the light at the end. It took 4 months and we had not one issue. I would never hesitate to recommend Belfor for anything

Do yourself a favour and go with any other company.We were originally told 2 weeks from start to finish for the projected we needed done. Great no problem. They went over by another 2 weeks which normally would be fine as things happened however there was zero communication on their end I basically had to phone and demands a response we went one whole week without zero contact to inform us of what was happening. The end result was extremely poor quality and several things had to be re done. Again do yourself a favour and RUN from this company as they are an absolute joke to deal with

They are quick to demolish your home but will take forever to rebuild it back. My recommendation is to ask your claims adjuster for a CASH OUT. Your insurance provider will cut you a cheque for the repair amount, this will allow you the opportunity to hire your own contractor and most likely pocket a few bucks in the process. Whatever you do, do not let BELFOR work on your home, you will be dealing with nothing but problems.On behalf of my grandma,

We used Belfor for restoration after a flood in our house. We were very disappointed with the poor quality - It looked like they had never done this type of work before. Very slow and non-responsive, it took 10 weeks to do a 2 week job while we waited with a kitchen and a bathroom that were unusable. We were very disappointed.

We found a significant water leak in our recently renovated basement late in the evening on a holiday. Belfor was called out and arrived the next morning of the holiday. A clean up team and a plumber were dispatched, all who arrived within the day. The water leak was controlled and damaged materials were all removed quickly and effectively. Successful repairs to the basement were made within the next month to restore the room back to its original condition. All Belfor supplied personnel were very efficient, polite, respectful and professional. We were very satisfied with the result and time frame in which Belfor was able to rectify our issues.
