Dollarama

The store itself was fine. But it seems Dollarama, the corporation, is trying to get rid of cashiers. There are more self checkouts than cashiers.If there's a cashier, I don't use self check outs. That's taking a job from someone. Dollarama, this one here WILL NEVER use self check out.

I want to make my crafts. Ideal place to buy everything you need for less money is Dollarama.

A very large selection at this store - especially for a small city the size of Summerside. Staff are very helpful at this location and store is well maintained / clean overall. The new self checkout system has sped up the shopping process significantly. Location is also very good with adequate parking.

Theres a Good selection for needs and wants however... the staff are very unprofessional.

Sheesh. You can almost buy half your groceries there. Plus the self serve checkouts are a nice thing. Store was VERY tidy and well organized. I was quite impressed.

I saw some reviews that said this store had terrible customer service and unprofessional employees. I found that the staff were extremely helpful and friendly with locating items and checking me out with a very full cart at the cash. Some of the aisles were bare and very narrow so that's the only reason for 4 stars not 5.

Quick n easy to find many things

Shopping here is an experience and not in a good way. On multiple occasions I've been witness to staff standing around having personal conversations while customers - particularly customers at the self serve checkout - need assistance. The manager is loud and complains out loud. Ex: heard her say to an employee what am I going to do with you" and she was clearly frustrated. They also Hollar across the store about who is on break/who needs to go on break. If a customer does not want to use self checkout they have to call someone from the back of the store to open a register ... It's very distracting/aggravating to shop here."
