Doctor Clock

I brought my Omega Aquaterra to Doctor Clock to see if I could get a scratch removed from the bezel. The owner served me and said no problem" and fixed the scratch with a polishing machine. Only cost 20 dollars. Later that day when washing dishes water got inside the water proof case. i sent to Omega and they said polishing damaged the gaskets and I had to pay 800 dollars for repair. Dr. Clock said it was "my problem" because he just did what I asked him to do. I would have thought a 'watch expert' would warn that the polishing could damage the watch. Either way

Was greeted" by an extremely rude and unpleasant employee on the afternoon of Jun 1. For a store that sells higher cost specialty goods

We brought our mantel clock in to Dr. Clock on October 18, 2022. It had always ran a little bit slow but a few days before it stopped running completely. We were told by the man we met there that it would take about 2 weeks before we would find out if it could be repaired and at what cost. We waited about 3 weeks without a word from them and so we called. We spoke to a woman who said the clock was working and all it needed was lubrication. However, she said it was still running about 2 minutes slow and she would like to keep it another week to get it running on time. She said she would call us then. We waited for 2 weeks but no call. We called again and she said it was still running slow but she would have it ready by next week. Again she said she would call us but no call came. Finally on November 24th we decided to just go over and get the clock back. We called and spoke to a man this time and he said the woman we had been dealing with was out of the shop for meetings and she wouldn’t be back until Monday. He also said now the clock was running 5 minutes slow and that it takes a long time to fix a clock that was running slow. DOES IT TAKE A MONTH?? No call from her on Monday, November 28th, (surprise, surprise) and so we called and again spoke to the man and told him we were coming in that day and wanted the clock back immediately which we did. He wasn’t too happy with us and then had the temerity to charges us $125 plus tax. FOR WHAT?? We brought the clock home and, guess what, it was running slow – very slow in fact, and the next day it stopped running completely! This has to have been the worst service experience we have ever had anywhere. (Please note I had to select one star in order to post this message, but I really can't justify one star - no stars!

Always great, friendly, reasonably priced service.Whether you are into high-end watches or just taking care of your daily watch, why not take to folks who care and have decades of knowledge and experience?

I've been going here for minor stuff for years and have always received fantastic service! I would definitely recommend these guys!

These guys are unprofessional and won't do anything without a buck in their pocket. Asked them to open a back of my Rolex because I ordered the tool on-line but too tight for me to loosen. Do you think these guys could do me a favour and loosen for me? NO, they said, something about they would be responsible if something happened to the watch. I said, I would sign something and take full responsibility and let them or myself do it with their watch tool holder. Would be happy to pay a few dollars and still NO. Customer Service is missing from this place and I would never do business with them in the future. By the reviews I have read here already, unless it's an easy fix and they can make big money from you, they will just send you away after you pay for a quote and nothing done or fixed to your time piece on there end. I'll send my watches and clocks away before I let them make money from me in the future with those poor attitudes, place is A JOKE!!

Great place. Only people I trust to fix my watch, but they may be the only company in Halifax that can fix my watch.

I'm a young clock collector, and decided to check out this little shop. It's hard nowadays to find other people who tinker with clocks, so I figured I'd give it a shot. I really didn't appreciate the way I was spoken down to, almost like I wasn't worth their time. The way I see it, the watch / clock business is quickly declining, and having young people interested is very important. Hard to keep young people interested when they're treated like that.

Brought some pocket watches to be serviced because they ran intermittently and wouldn’t keep time. Quote was high for each watch but I went for it anyway. Few days later I get a call back to say that they were unfixable. He only charged me the fee to generate the work order and he did replace a couple main springs. However one of the watches came back and would not run at all. This was one that ran the strongest before going into service.However upon going back into the store to see if he could at least get it to start ticking again, he got irritated and told me off telling me he was done with those watches and never wanted to see them again.If you repair watches for a living, then people are obviously going to bring you broken watches. Talking to me like that was unprofessional and I will not be bringing any watch of any value to him in the future. It is such a shame that Halifax has no real option for quality watchmakers.
