Always excellent selection and service here! Their sidewalk sales offer great prices on older stock. I've referred several people to both this store and the College Square location, and will return again. UPDATE: Needed to lower my review, after buying several pairs of Asics & Brooks. I saw a pair of Asics Nimbus 23 on sale elsewhere, and since I wanted to support a small business, asked if they would match the price. KZ was rude in her email reply, implying I was wrong to ask because they were a different color, not the shark/aqua they are still selling at full price (they're now 3 yrs old). The ones sold elsewhere were a different color, both navy blue, light blue, and ones called pink salt, all later editions than these. Even so, I wanted to support a small business, and would have traveled to pick them up. She refused to match the price, so I went elsewhere for both the light blue/coral and dark blue, and my friend bought pink salt and black after I raved how comfortable they were. Then we found the shark/aqua Nimbus 23 online at a Canadian store on clearance for $25! Unfortunately they didn't have my size, but my friend ordered those too. It's unfortunate that this employee thought so little of a customer who previously purchased at least 15 pairs of runners here. It's actions like this that caused a drop in business, because we've been shopping elsewhere ever since. I purposely waited to update my review, not wanting to update it in anger. Since this occurred, I have bought my shoes elsewhere, as have a few friends. The rudeness of this employee has cost them several sales.

Sports 4 has always been my go to store for knowledgeable staff and great service. Was there this morning and they did not disappoint. Nathan was able to find the right shoe for my particular needs. If you haven’t checked out the new store in the Glebe, I highly recommend them. Added bonus, the parking is not an issue! All the best in your new location!

I just visited for my first time on Saturday, I LOVE this store. The pricing is great, the service is better and the footwear is great too. Many more visits to come, thank you!

Customer service here is an elite level that is exceptionally rare in the retail world. The manager at the Bank St location (who’s name I forgot to grab for this review) is very friendly, hyper knowledgeable and very detail oriented.He was working with another lady who was a brand new employee (her first day!). And while fitting me for some trail shoes was also explaining to her everything to look for, and how to fit a shoe perfectly. It was kind of fun to hear all of that information as my knowledge of shoe fitment for every other pair of runners I’ve bought in my 30 some odd years could be summed up in “yeah, they comfortable. Look cool too, I’ll take these”.He was bouncing around fitting and getting sizes for three of us in the store at the same time and never once did I feel like he wasn’t giving my of us his full attention.Wound up buying a pair of New Balance Summit Unknowns, after trying on what felt like a dozen others. His enthusiasm and knowledge of the entire product line is both impressive and confidence inspiring.This was my first time shopping at Sports 4 and I can assure you, it’s my first stop for all future athletic footwear purchases.

Good service and good selection at a reasonable price. To bad they are moving out of my area.

Ethan is over here absolutely killin it. I had lost all hope of finding a pair of discontinued shoes until I found them on their website. I was having trouble placing the order online so called the store and got the order all figured out over the phone. Thank you so much.

Their staff are well trained and attentive - this is the place to go in Ottawa if you need advice on what type of footwear, sizing, gait assessments, etc. They will take the time necessary to get you the proper shoe for your foot.

Bought 4 pairs of shoes for about 300 Cad this winter. Prices are good, I was given some discount just because I asked. The quality of shoes is very good. The staff is very professional. This store is WAY better than Sport Check, I had 2 pairs of shoes from Sport check and they turned into complete trash just after 3 months. For me it seems Like Sport Check sold me non original shoes from Merell. Whereas this store has great quality products, original for sure. Greatly recommend to everyone.

Knowledgeable staff (thanks Eric!), wide selection of brands and widths, and we were allowed to bring our dog in! Great experience and purchased two pairs of super comfy perfectly fitting quality footwear. Thanks Sports 4, well worth the trip from Kingston and highly recommended!

I came here years ago by recommendation for wide-fitting athletic shoes and it's been my favourite shoe store in Ottawa for over almost a decade for buying cross training, weightlifting, running, and walking shoes. Staffed by knowledgeable athletes. I recently bought a pair of winter boots (insulated hiking boots ) and they even have wide-fitting footwear for this.
