Spruce Hill Resort & Spa

We almost didn't stay here because of the poor reviews. What I learned is to not trust the reviews. People's expectations are out of touch to where they are and how much they are paying. The hot tub and pool were awesome. Things were clean and cozy and working. It will be a consistent stop for us when travelling through the cariboo!

This was a very bizarre experience. We did enjoy the indoor pool, however it was very apparent that the pool area was not cleaned the entire weekend we were there with the same garbage and no toilet paper in the pool washroom. There is only one manager running the entire place which made us all wonder if the bed sheets were actually clean. The cabin we stayed in was very dirty and outdated. The oven didn’t work. There are empty cans all around the fire pit on the grounds and garbage, including an old couch. The continental breakfast was not good. The baked items were old. There were apples and bread with butter in addition to 2 keurig machines, 1 that didn’t work. It is a shame because it is obvious that this place used to be something but is now run down. We loved the horseback riding and would give Flying Rooster 5 stars. We will definitely be back through for horseback riding but would never stay at Spruce Hills Resort again.

I called before me and 3 kids decided to stay there on a Monday. Asked if there was a restaurant because we were arriving at dinner time and I didn’t want to have to go anywhere until the next day. Yes there is a restaurant I was told by the owner. Got there and it’s closed on Mondays!!! Had to drive into 100 mile for dinner! Then there was ice all over the access to the stairs to our room and a broken railing to hold onto to get into the room. Leaking water in the bathroom from??? A missing light above one bed, missing hairdryer ripped off the wall. Anyways we were only staying one night before continuing to drive south. What a dump is all I have to say. Stay anywhere else!!!I almost forgot to add the pool was closed “due to order” and the manager was in the hot tub all night which was weird. This place needs an entire overhaul and cleaning!

My family stayed at the resort for the BC provincial hockey tournament. The team fully enjoyed their stay and I would highly recommend staying here if you visit 100 mile. Beautiful scenery, friendly staff, fun activities for all ages and delicious food on site!

My wife and I spent the weekend here.Ken and his Maggi try very hard to be accommodating. The pool and hot tub and saunas are great. Big gym upstairs. Ken made us a delicious breakfast and dinner. He went out of his way to line up massages and a facial/pedicure for my wife on the holiday.Things are a little dated but in working order. The place has character and the prices are very reasonable. Don’t expect the shangri la in the caribou.We enjoyed our stay and will come back for sure.Any negative reviews are from people who are just naturally disappointed. Bang for your buck here. Get the honeymoon suite!

After our stay a couple weeks ago, we decided to make come back and enjoy the facilities more often. The indoor pool and hot tub are awesome. The rooms were clean and the owner was very accommodating

Every person on site we met was helpful, kind and willing to accommodate to make our stay memorable. Thank you Darren and friend for making sure we could tube. Thank you Ken and Wanda’s mom for making efforts for us to have fun and be entertained. The chalet was clean, bathroom was clean, the bedding was old and worn. The restaurant (the pizzeria) was the highlight of our stay. Beautiful restaurant with amazing food and atmosphere. We will be back. I hope there are continued efforts to maintain this place as the chalets are deteriorating.

Amazing little gem tucked into the woods . The owner is very accommodating. The pool is heated and perfect temperature . Hot tubs are nice and hot ❤️ they have excellent rooms with gorgeous views. Also the pizzaria and staff there are amazing . If you need an affordable room and some delicious food and share a beer with a friend at the pizzaria I swear you won’t be disappointed. Date night or travelling through it’s an excellent place to stop at ❤️ highly recommended.

i had an amazing time at spruce hill resort! not only is it an amazing location, it was also a big part of my training, last stand 2023 hosted by spruce hill and trigger airsoft changed my life and i won an amazing prize from the event, the whole resort is very gorgeous and is outstanding at night!!!!

I Have enjoyed coming here for the last 15 years. The group I come with enjoys the chalets, playing pond hockey and the tube track. Ken the owner is so nice and has been really good to us all the years since he took over. There is a pizza place/ restaurant that was so good and made a great brunch for us the next day. Can’t wait to come back for my 108 mile retreat next year.
