Progressive K9 - PK9

Everyone here makes accessing dog training a pleasure. Zero pretense or attitude. I have taken Intro to Sports and , Intro Rally and Intermediate level rally with Ashley and Abbey. We have just completed our first round of Obedience classes and it's been eye opening and very fun. I have gone to other facilities for training and while they supported what I needed in the immediate there was nothing to continue on to . Ashley does not merely scratch the surface of dog training. Her enthusiasm is unmatched. I have learned so much and will continue to do so. I have recently met Rob and Alexis and hope to do bite work with them . Again... so obviously in love with what they do and so inviting. 5/5 definitely feel comfortable referring people to PK9.

Ashley at PK9 was amazing to work with. Over the span of 4 training courses, Ashley helped my nervous wreck of a 6 month old rescue puppy grow her confidence and skills in leaps and bounds. So thankful for the team at Progressive K9, and an absolute necessity if you’re looking for clear information and support in training a healthy, smart, and calm life-long companion.

Owner Rob is the best! You can tell how much he loves dogs and it shows in the results. The thing we loved the best was Rob caters the training to what you feel you need to work on the most. Our dog Bauer was timid around other dogs and lacked confidence, so Rob would incorporate our training sessions with his beautiful, amazingly trained dogs and you could see improvements weekly. Bauer is now so much more confident around other dogs which make our lives so much easier. Can’t wait to go back in the fall! Thanks Rob!

Excellent training!!! Our puppy was bossy and got aggressive when he was over-excited. We weren't bonding because he wasn't fun to be with. We took a 6 lesson program with Rob and it was game changing. Rob gave us practical training and tools that immediately addressed our dog's bad behaviour and gave us confidence that we could get past this. Rob takes time to understand both the owner and dog personalities and finds the best compassionate approach to create positive outcomes. We now need to practice until it becomes engrained in our pet but we know we can lean back on Rob if we encounter new issues or need some adjustments.

I took in Scooby a male year and half old great dane mastiff mix around 2 months ago and with him being such a larger dog I knew we would need some proper one on one dog behavioural training. Ashley was amazing from class number one! Scooby and I were taking walks around the block and heeling by class number two! Every class Ashley was there to teach, listen and give advise! She sent us home with homework after each class and after 6 classes Scooby and I are a team! We cannot wait to enrol in the other classes offer. Ashley did not just help train Scooby she help trained me!I definitely recommend K9 Progressive to anyone who needs some help with their dog.

We had a fantastic experience with Rob and our dog Freya. Rob is very knowledgeable and brings both his own experiences as well as research-based approaches. Through our 6 week program of 1:1 sessions, we have built confidence in managing any situations that may arise with our dog. Rob gave us the tools to continue working with Freya and improving our bond and trust. We will definitely be back for the group sessions!

Rob is very good at meeting the client handler and dog where they are, instead of imposing some cookie cutter system on them.We had issues with reactivity and was able to make marked improvements with Rob and other trainers’ help, and our own hard work of course.

Rob and Alexis has been tremendous help in toning down the leash pulling, reactivity all while improving the obedience of our 9 months old German Shepherd! We did the 6 weeks program and week after week we can tell that our GSD was making great progress in obedience towards basic commands and slowly building up more confidence. I also felt that throughout the 6 weeks, I have built a better understanding and relationship with my dog. There were family members who were a bit worrisome of my dog, but now they feel comfortable and safe around him! I cannot sum up the gratitude that I have for Progressive K9 in one post, but I will try. Day 1 when we arrived with our dog, Rob was professional, informative, and direct. He told us what would need to be done and how he wanted to do it. We worked through reactivity with our dog over a 6 week program, and the results were incredible! It is very clear that Rob and Abbey put their all into helping dogs and owners overcome any obstacles. We plan on returning for more training with Progressive K9, and I've already recommended them to many friends with reactive/aggressive dogs.

Rob and Alexis have been amazing, from helping me with my obedience to accepting me into their PSA community. Ashley has help me more than I could ever thank her for , for teaching me all about ckc obedience. And helping me get started in competing .I’m so happy to be apart of the PK9 community with so many amazing people I can learn from !
