Very impressive and efficient services. We ve just gone through apply new passports in Nanaimo Passport Office, from front entrance to front desk, to officers, all personals are super respectful and very professional, in and out in about one hour. Bravo Canada.

They basically try as hard as possible not to help you. My wife has gone in twice to do some basic stuff. She has ALL of her documents and everything is in order, they make assumptions about things that aren't true and then waste your time just to turn you away in the end. We've taken time off work early TWICE now since this place closes at 4pm just to get there and be told by the same security guy that we cannot go in and be assisted.Can't do anything we need to do online, the website says one thing and the security says a completely different thing. Absolutely frustrated by this lack of process. Either the website is wrong or the staff on site are wrong, in both situations they get to turn you away and do zero work.We'll likely just wait for a trip to Victoria or Vancouver to get what we need to be done.

Went in to have my son's passport application processed and was in and out in under 45 minutes. Very good service. I showed up right before they opened on a Thursday.

I was shocked by how unfriendly and impatient the receptionist was today, what an extremely nasty and miserable lady. I told her that customer service was not her strong suit but she thinks she is good at it, having done it for 40 years. Well, it is time for her to retire because she obviously is delusional. I don't think I have ever received worse customer service. I would give 0 stars if I could.

The staff were courteous and friendly. The process was very well-managed. I didn't have any challenges getting my documentation. The whole thing took me 1.5 hours.

Very pleasant staff. Incredibly inefficient processes. There is only one person at the front desk to review the reasons everyone is there for, and all of their paperwork. This creates a bottleneck at the door.There seem to be only 3 staff working today (Tuesday morning). All of them seem to see people for passport applications, which apparently take 30 minutes per person, and for much quicker things like dropping off additional paperwork for a relative who has died.We arrived at 0900; there are still 3 people waiting ahead of us. One staff member served a woman who had just returned to the office after being told an hour before that she didn't have all the information required for a passport application. Why was she prioritized ahead of the people who had been in the waiting room for that hour?This office is in desperate need of a LEAN assessment.

Renewed my passport took a total of 1.5 hours. Did not have an appt and couldn't get one online. Very good service and respectful staff. This was very fast service compared to other locations who I have heard had to wait way longer, like > 6 hours. Hopefully I get my new passport soon, was told 20 business days but could be longer. If you have travel booked make sure u take proof of travel with you.

Patricia at the front desk was extremely unfriendly. If she hates her job so much she’d be doing everyone a favour and going elsewhere. The rest of the staff were wonderful so 5 stars for them but 1 star for Patricia.

Terrible service. Arrive at 2:15 and was told it would be an hour. At 4:10 they say they cannot serve me. Thanks for the zero compassion and for wasting my time. It would have been nice to know an hour into my wait that they were too busy. Tons of workers in there without anyone at their desks. Nice to see what my tax dollars are going to.
