SHOWDOWN TATTOOS & SKATEBOARDS(no piercings)

The shop itself is very clean, and I KNOW there’s a few good artists, which is why I’m giving it 3 stars. But there are a few artists known to be overly rough with clients. I went in February with friends to get a Mr. Flash Design at the specialty price. They had room for us, and the guys at the front were super fun & nice. Even the guy who did my tattoo was nice, my hoodie had stained my arm blue and he wiped me down. However he was quite rough with the actual process. Ive never had a tattoo bruise like this one did (hopefully I’ve attached pictures). And then as it healed I noticed chunks of ink missing, despite not picking at it and following the artists directions to a T. I also have other artwork and I’ve literally never had this happen to any other tattoo. So I took it to my usual shop, and every single tattoo artist there told me it was definitely overworked by whoever did my tattoo. It’s a huge bummer as this was my first visible tattoo (others are on my leg and sternum). Also the two other girls with me who did flash tattoos also had their lines either blown out or were also overworked. Luckily, my regular artist will be fixing it up for me, but please just do your research on the artists heavily. Because some are amazing (Like Carl) and some just aren’t quite up to par.

I waited until I had received each of the services these guys offer. I can now say, after being both tattooed and pierced here, it is exceptional. Knowledgeable, talented staff will you help you with whatever you need, respect your opinions and never pressure you into anything you don’t want. It’s perfect for first timers or old hands.

Best tattoo shop I've ever gone to!! I have 3 tattoos from here, two of them are from Evin and the other is from Forrest. I always recommend this shop to friends since they are always so fast, but also efficient!

Getting my second session next week, I walked in last week and got booked quickly due to a cancellation which was amazing and lucky. These folks are very laid back and good at what they do, I got 3 tattoos in my first session and was extremely happy with the results. Will post pictures once my session is complete just to reinforce my point.Just park to the side of the building and don't leave obvious valuables as the area is semi sketchy, they lock their shop door so you will feel safe once in their location. Awesome stuff!EDIT the tiger and the piranha plant were my 2nd and 3rd sessions, very happy and the details are great. Just to give a follow thru on what I detailed above. Artists vary in styles and will suit whatever needs you like, for myself I've been finding pictures that I like and getting them inked with a bit of tweaking, they can do anything thoughEDIT 2 got 4 more tattoos these guys are awesome. Their new location will be a lot better

Went for a walk in, everyone was super professional and super kind. One of us was getting a tattoo for the first time, and everyone was super helpful answering any questions. 10/10 experience will definitely go back !!

Best tattoo shop in Edmonton! All the artists are awesome, they all bring a unique style to the shop. I highly recommend seeing Ariah or Carl as those are the two I've been tattoed by, but everyone there is incredible. Very clean shop, always has great music playing.

Nice bunch of people at Showdown tattoos! Took my husband and I as a walk in. Tats turned out fantastic, had a pretty nice time meeting some new people. There's lots of talented artists here and we will definitely come back!
