Was not pleased that I had to rush home to care for my dying mother and innkeeper felt it necessary to charge me room stay for one day. Poor taste in my opinion, regardless of their cancellation policy. I did not have an issue with any of the other room cancellations I needed to make. I informed them immediately and they did not acknowledge my cancellation email for three days. I will return to Nova Scotia but I will not be staying at the Wickwire House! It is unfortunate that I even have to give them one star to post this review.

Scary care taker - Arrived May 30, 2016 and the owners were traveling on business. The care taker was the only person there. He talked non stop about his personal issues. His rescue dog that did not like men but he would lock up if he left the grounds. Later he talked about his mental state after leaving the army - again very scary. We left but had to pay for the night. Will not return. Nice old victory home but over furnished.

This place just feels like home. The beds were soft, the gazebo was perfect for sitting outside and enjoying the view. Larry is the best host! So friendly and accommodating. His job is to make sure that you are happy and he is VERY good at it. Highly recommend staying here.

Beautiful accommodations! Amazing breakfast! Larry the caretaker was a great host! Thoroughly enjoyed his rescue dog, very friendly, he even liked my husband - lol! Very knowledgeable of the area & the history. Room was gorgeous, and the bed was very comfortable. The prices were very reasonable! We will definitely stay there again!

Very unique place. The property manager (not the owner) is a bit different but he is chatty and friendly, good cook and knows the area. The room we got had its own entrance in the back so it was easy to come and go without disturbing anyone.

Last minute, couldn't find any hotels/motels and came across this gem. Beautiful Victorian home, with a large deck/gazebo, lots of seating, perfect place to have a cup of tea. 3 of us stayed for one night, very comfortable king size bed and sofa bed with ensuite. Very clean and the manager, Larry couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and well presented. Thank you Larry for everything. We will definitely be back!!!!

Not the best airbnb I will say some people there are very rude to potential customers and not 420 friendly or smoking friendly even tho there are no sign for no smoking anywhere on property

We were referred to this gem by the Wolfville info center. What a terrific find. The house is charming, the room was fantastic and our hosts were the best part. Even just days after hurricane Dorian came through, we as guests were top of their priorities. Both the owner, Ghislaine and the caretaker Larry were available and very helpful. Morning breakfast was varied and set to our schedule. You can see the care and attention that is put into making the house warm and friendly and to make sure you are comfortable throughout your stay. We will stay there again whenever we are in the areaRick &BrendaEdmonton, Ab

My partner and I stayed here last summer. Our room was nice. The caretaker, Larry, met us and was courteous at first. However, after not very long, exchanges with him became uncomfortable. He showed us our room, all the while talking to us about his personal life/issues and all the work he does around the inn. He complained a lot about how much work he had to do, and shared far too much personal information. (If I had not been with my partner I would have been even more uncomfortable.) He told us a story about his dog that was uninvited and graphic. Breakfast was strawberry pancakes" (he bragged for some time how wonderful his pancakes were) and they were the worst pancakes I've ever seen--mush
