Shop Local They Said…….We started looking at fixtures, tile, and granite for a bathroom reno in 2022 at Blackbird, based on good Google reviews. We were ready to go ahead with our main bathroom renovation in January 2023. We had our own design and were only purchasing materials. We knew we had a short time window with our contractor. Here goes:• We provided our deposit on January 17th• For some reason there were two different quotes and they were messy and hard to sort out• The time frame for delivery of items was 2-3 weeks• We had to choose alternatives to the original tile we chose for the bathtub alcove three times because of discontinued or unavailable styles• Our contractor was ready to go third week of February• We took apart as much of the bathroom as we could on our own to prep so now, we have an unusable bathroom• When we contacted Blackbird to arrange pick up of fixtures and tile, we were told our items had not been ordered• When we asked for an explanation, the response was, “I don’t know”.• We lost the window with our contractor• In case he had a cancelation from another client, we brought home all the supplies once they arrived and had to store them along with a new toilet and bathtub• Finally, at the end of May our contractor was able to fit us in, a few days here and a few days there• We endured 4 weeks of disruption right next to the bedroom, with contractor’s tools all over the floor on the landing• I work late and sleep late, so it’s been very stressful• On June 24th , our bathroom reno was finally complete – more than 4 months late for no reason other than every person in the front office dropped the ballHere is how Blackbird conducted themselves:When I called in January to arrange to make a deposit, the only sentence I was able to complete with the front office person was, “can you tell me what we need to do for a deposit?” After that I was repeatedly cut off and talked over – loudly and abruptly. My husband also heard the conversation. A follow up call with this person was more of the same. When I asked her to let me finish, she stated I was the one who was interrupting her and just continued to interrupt. This is the same person who directed me to the drawer pull display and then just disappeared and never came back. I was told she went for lunch. Fine. The professional thing to do would have been to ask someone else to look after me.When we learned that our order had not been placed and our reno would be delayed, I removed myself from any communication, because I have a low tolerance for unprofessionalism, excuses. My husband is the diplomat in our family, so he stepped in from that point.He went to blackbird to speak with the owner who promised he would investigate. He never followed up with us, but for some reason he called our contractor.When it came time to pay the balance my husband again went to speak with him.The owner indicated he was satisfied with Blackbird’s performance and offered a $150 “goodwill” discount on a bill for materials of$4,512.10. “I’ll alert the media I’m so overcome with gratitude……”.On the positive side, the granite installers were very polite, professional, and friendly. They did a great job. The two gentleman who came in later to make a small repair to the cabinet were also professional and courteous.Very unsatisfactory and disappointing experience trying to support local businesses.We should have gone to Home Depot.

The folks at Blackbird are excellent. We are extremely happy with our new kitchen. We had a major issue with one error during the renovation, and the company came good for their error. The quality of their product is great. The people at the store are nice. Would highly recommend you choose these people.

Thanks to Joan, Jay and Phil for their expert advice and quality workmanship, our kitchen dreams have come true! Our cabinets and granite top were installed about a month ago and we are still in awe at our kitchen transformation and how amazing it looks. The quality of product is second to none. If you need a kitchen counter, you only need to visit this store.They respond to your email instantly. No delays as others do in this business!The workers who install your counter are absolutely number one and I do notbelieve you can find a better crew to work on your counter inside of your house.I do recommend this company to anyone who likes to be spoiled with a good service.Ladislav, Architect.

Don’t pay until the work is done, they lied to me.They said they would install flooring and granite counter tops.The flooring was charged at a premium price, knowing I would save on counter tops.When the flooring was complete, they took my money and never returned for counter tops. Leaving me hanging, on a new house build!The tile flooring they installed cracked in three separate rooms. They said lifetime guarantee, but never came too fix.Terrible terribleJason Legere was the name I remember. Ask him what his old company was called.Do not trust these guys!NOTE: THEY HAVE CHANGED THEIR NAME SO THAT THEIR REPUTATION DOES NOT FOLLOW THEMTHESE GUYS ARE BAD BUSINESS! LIARS!

BlackBird Stone and Tile as been a wonderful experience, from the extremely helpful staff, smiling faces and abundance of product as we renovate our kitchen.We would like to give a special shout out to Mike Gaffney, the stone cutter, who took a very unique piece of stone, listening intently to what we liked about the piece and using his expertise and love of stone to provide us with a kitchen countertop that we just can't stop talking about. It will be the topic of conversation in our home for years to come. Thanks to everyone at BlackBird and to you Mike.JP and Patti

We absolutely love our fireplace. It has exceeded our expectations, which were quite high. Many thanks to the great team at Blackbird: Jason and Courtney for keeping track of the project, Mike the Fabricator, who came outside and went over the details with us, Mark, the owner, who was present for the install, and the amazing work done by Bryce and Chris installing this piece; they did a really beautiful job. Finally, a huge shout out to Joan for all her help and guidance over the years - it has been appreciated.

From the first time, my wife and I walked in the door to look at our options for a new bathroom vanity top until the time our quartz top was installed. We had a great experience. Thanks to Courtney, Colleen, Cory, Jesse and Jacob. You all are very professional and friendly. We will definitely recommend you to all our friends and family. I have attached a picture of our bathroom vanity that is not yet completed until I finish with the drawer.

I had to give 5 star rating because these guys deserve it . I did my dudelegence and this is the best price , and the service of these installers was impeccable . Very happy with my new sink and countertop.

They included us in any decisions that needed to be made throughout the project. They also communicated with us daily about the work they had done and made sure that the end result was exactly what we wanted.
