The Burnaby Board of Trade is by far the best membership organization that I have been part of. The leadership and employees are very approachable and listens to their members. In addition, they provide the right tools for businesses of any size and growth stage and pivot to the need of its business community. A great example it how the BBoT translates all the government Covid resources and updates by breaking it down to the essential messages. BBoT is a source I trust and that helps me to save time and feel informed.

As a small business owner here in Burnaby, I really appreciate the BBOT's ability to easily explain and translate all the complexities with the endless amounts of business resources and information that's available out there. I needed help understanding my eligibility for COVID-related financing as well as the city's guidelines on permitting -- all of which was extremely intimidating and difficult for me to understand. For that reason alone, new business owners and startups should definitely consider joining the BBOT.

The Burnaby Board of Trade - BBOT plays an important role in bringing together the different elements that make up the City of Burnaby: connecting my business to other businesses, City Council and political departments of Burnaby, and the residents to the business community.In addition to providing networking opportunities where I can meet people from other businesses; the BBOT gives voice to every individual member when they lobby City Council for issues that are important to their members or larger issues that may affect me both provincially and federally and by representing all of its members, the BBOT gives me a bigger voice and brings strength in numbers.
