Thanks to Mr. Rainville for coming over on relatively short notice to do an estimate for a pendant light install! On the follow-up visit he did excellent work, charged less than the estimate, and even did most of the work installing another light fixture I was working on.

I called Rainville Electric because the power had gone out for one of my breakers. Gilles was at my house for 1 hour max (which included at least 20 mins of him chit-chatting) but charged me for 2 hours of work which he said included his travel time. I live in a central location in Ottawa near Trainyards. He did not actually fix anything while he was there. The power did start working again just from switching the breaker off and back on, which we had tried earlier with no success. He complained about the age of the panel and pointed out various problems to me, but from what I could tell they were completely unrelated to the problem we had called him in to fix. He was very difficult to understand and kept forgetting how many outlets were not working (was it 2 or 3?). In the end, the lights came back on but three outlets still did not work and he said he would have to come back another time to fix them because he did not have the right tools (and probably charge me for another hour of his transportation time). He also did not bring the basic tools he needed into the house initially and had to go in and out to his truck multiple times, adding to his billable hours. Waste of $215.

Mr. Rainville was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He was very helpful and got my fixture up and running in no time. We are very satisfied with the excellent service we received at Rainville Electric. Thank you!
