Holiday Inn Guelph Hotel & Conference Ctr, an IHG Hotel

As a group who get together every year this is a great place for us. The 4th floor common room is a perfect venue with adjoining bedrooms on either side. And their new beds and pillows are very comfortable. We all commented on this. Meals are good as well. Several people had the fish & chips and enjoyed it.

Staying here was not awful but it was disappointing. While the bedroom was clean, it was dated. There were not enough outlets for devices - they did have a power bar on the floor. The room appeared to have endured water damage (or something) but no one took the time to properly fix it. The heating/cooling unit was very loud. The bathroom did not feel clean, nor did it have a working fan. Upon check in, no one offered an option to have breakfast included - so we figured that out in the morning.

I stayed here for two weeks in January, and there are a lot of good things about this hotel, but also some not so good things. First off, the service was excellent and super-responsive to my needs. I had a small issue with my original room and they placed me in a much nicer room right away, which made me very happy. The amenities are good. The pool is great, the sauna is a big bonus in winter. There is a gym but I did not use it. Food at the restaurant was surprisingly good! Breakfasts were great and there was enough variety for my long stay. The beds are practically new, which is wonderful.What I didn't like was the smell in the hallways. The room did NOT smell bad at all, and while the hotel is renovated, something still lingers from back in the day" when smoking cigarettes indoors was OK. A lingering nasty smell in the hallways. The second thing I didn't like was the carpet in the rooms. It is worn off

This hotel is a fair size facility with lots of rooms as well as a pool and common areas to hangout at and relax with friends. The check in was a little rusty and the young lady doing it must have been having a pretty bad day as she was very short with us. The pool is on the ground level but it looks pretty decent. Parking is ample, but some might have to park downhill if you get there late. The hallways and rooms are a tad dated, and the beds are not comfortable at all.... But it could have always been worse. The breakfest was good and lots of food was available from eggs to waffles to bacon. The location can't be beat, so overall this is a decent place to stay.

Very odd layout, bathroom was small, bed was comfortable and place was clean. We didn't receive any shampoo in the room so we went to front desk. Within 5 minutes we had bottles delivered to our room. Great service

The room was clean and nice. The bathroom was a bit small for my liking, but also clean and nice enough.The breakfast was great, real dishes and silverware, lots of options, most fairly healthy.Everyone I encountered was very nice and helpful. Check in was quick and easy, check out too.The pool looked nice, the while building in general is beautiful, but I didn't have the time to try it out.

The front desk help was pleasant. The room was clean and the bed was fantastic! Not too soft, or hard. The pillows we're not flat. Since we were there during the weekdays, the kid noise was relatively low, and the best part was that it was dog-friendly. The meals were very good and reasonably priced. I would definitely go back.

Room was fine. Pool was filthy.When we arrived at 2pm the room next to us has their room service outside there door, it was on the floor for the maid staff to clean up who were out at the time because we also saw a maid Cart beside it. It was full of ketchup and chocolate milk. By the time we checked out at noon the next day it was still there stinking up the hallway. Gross. Maid staff just left it?

I called the hotel a few days prior to my stay and explained I had an extra child coming with me and they gave me an upgrade and did not charge me any extra. The hotel staff were great upon check in and remembered me based on the telephone conversation. The hotel gave out free 150 Canada pins as well as selfie sticks which the kids all loved....and well to be honest the parents may have loved them even more. The hotel was very clean and hotel staff were very accommodating.I loved how we had a balcony that overlooked the pool and loved all the sitting areas around the hotel and several that overlooked the pool.My 2 boys are involved in rep hockey and rep lacrosse and our family has stayed at A LOT of hotels over the years and this one was by far the best overall experience to date. I have never written a review before and felt it necessary to do so this time.One of the elevators was down for the weekend (the one at the end of the building was working) - but being on the 4th floor, using the stairs allowed me to get my steps in every day!!!The pull out bed was very very uncomfortable but when I advised front desk of this - they provided me with a cot and said they would be replacing the mattress after my stay. I don't think many people sleep on the pullouts so I'm sure they were unaware how uncomfortable it was - but again were very accommodating when I brought it to their attention. The 2 double beds and the cot were very comfortable. The bathroom was a little on the small size but had heated floors which was fantastic.Thanks again for everything!

Had a great experience staying here for my daughters birthday. The staff were nice. Check in/out was a breeze. Rooms were a bit dated but clean. The highlight for us was the pool. We absolutely loved it and it was never busy.
