Value Village

I am a Super Saver at the Suede level. I gave permission for the store supervisor to access my account, using my phone number, to retrieve the coupon that I had erased from my phone. The answer was no I cannot do that. I do think exceptions should be made for dedicated shoppers.

I love shopping for books at Value Village. As of late, I noticed a significant price increase. Books are priced at more than double what they used to be sold for. That kind of defeats the purpose of shopping secondhand books.

Prices are sometimes more than other merchandise.Dollarama store is cheaper than value village.

Prices are insane for goods that’s are freely donated. They do not have change rooms forcing you to buy and inevitably exchange (still spending money!) when the clothing doesn’t fit. What a ploy. They’ve since added self checkouts because they don’t want to pay staff. Shop somewhere else that actually supports charity.

This was a good trip to this store, I normally don't shop here at this particular store, but thought I would stop as I live out of the city and pass by it on my way home. I was incredibly happy with my purchase. I basically got an item 90% off its originally price which was basically more than a steal and I was able to snag a pair of nice brand new mom jeans from AE for $4.00! The only downside I would say is that I feel like for the Barrhaven location this one is a small store.

The better Value Village I've seen in Ottawa; since this one is further away, I can always find great items. Other VVs to through their stock often, so all the good items get picked up more quickly compared to this one. My fav so far!I do dislike the self-checkout cashes and the lack of organization; please find a way to make a line for the check out machines.

Great big store with lots of selection. They had a great selection with some really nice wooden furniture. They always have lots of kids toys and we found a bargain. Great selection of clothes, books, dishes, pet stuff, furniture, lighting, accessories, bedding, you name it. Almost everything was very reasonably priced. I haven't been there in years, as their prices were getting too high, but that's not the case anymore. They even have self-service checkouts now, which was great. Overall, it's made me want to keep coming back. You never know what you will find.

To Management:Great store. For the most part.My only complaint is that the toy section is located directly beside the employee entrance to the back of the store. This is NOT SAFE.Customers with children be careful:Employees constantly come out at pretty fast speeds with carts without looking where they’re going and on several occasions being there, my daughters were almost wiped out by an employee and their cart while my kids were crouched down trying to grab a toy from the bottom shelf. What makes it even more difficult is, the manager will come and ask you to make sure to be vigilant in picking up the toys from the ground once your kids are finished with them so his employees can come in and out of the back with the carts. So you’re given two jobs. Make sure to keep the area clean and keep a constant eye on your children to make sure they don’t get run over.I’m confused as to why you guys even decided it was safe to put the children’s section right in the fast lane of constant moving traffic in the first place. I’m not sure whose idea this was but it was not a very thought out plan. This seriously NEEDS to change before someone’s kid gets run over.Your valued customer Corey.

Store always clean and items neatly displayed according to their department. Easy to find what I'm looking for. Prices good. Staff friendly and helpful
