This is a great local spot for skating (especially for younger kids, inexperienced skaters and families because there isn’t an ODR with pucks whizzing around). City staff is out there EVERY morning in the winter maintaining the oval. The only downside is parking, the parking lot is far too small for the amount of people that go on weekends and in the evening—turns into a bit of a zoo and the surrounding buildings parking gets taken a lot.

It's great for just skating around, lots of room. Only thing is ice isn't always the best, but still better than lake ice.

Great oval, well done. Some more outdoor seating for changing skates would be nice. I brought an extra bag to sit on, but not everyone thinks ahead. Limited parking on busy days, so walk there if you can. Usually it's quieter on frigid days or later at night.

Great free place to go on a date. Well lit, day or night and protected from the wind as it is in a natural Valley.

This place is Amazing!! The ice is always in great shape. Benches to put on your skates available, skating the oval is very entertaining. Great for some exercise or just a skate with the family. I highly recommend checking it out!!

It's a great place to walk, and clear your mind. Especially if you bring you pet. Most dogs are very friendly. But there are actually couple that should not be off leash....but all in all its well maintained. My only complaint is that they need to stay abreast of the doggie (pooh) bags..... otherwise alla well?.

Great ice surface in the winter, not all that windy and they've widened the surface to allow social distancing. Highly recommended. Fun doing laps, whether alone or with friends/family.

On the edge of the Great Grey Desert which is Bigger's Sudbury, some watered grass, a walking track, soccer pitch without a dome so the non-snowflakes can kick the ball around in the snowflakes, a monitored washroom attached to the tennis bubble. Now, if only it would get cold enough to make ice for skating, but the winters seem too warm and too short. Four season soccer, anyone?

I am not a great skater, but the ice is so smooth here I felt confident to skate around with my husband!
