Cashmere and Cobwebs

Went into the shop with my husband on 29/08/2022 and received such a rude and embarrassing response from the staff. Whatever happened to expressing a compassionate and welcoming greeting???!! The only thing on the mind of this one particular staff was that it was almost closing time. Her response to my husband and I was “ l don’t know if you know but we are closing at 3:00 pm and we have somewhere to be. Right after we close. ” The response was without compassion or concern about the customer. We are not from Port Dover and were not aware that the shop closes at 3 pm. How many people actually notice the hours posted on the door?Her comment made me feel unwelcome and rushed. And I felt embarrassed should there have been others in the store. Just a note for future customers who enter your quant little shop. Every customer should be greeted with care and a genuine interest regardless of time or the amount of work that needs to be done before closing. That customer may not purchase a big item but even the smallest of items will benefit the shop and become a conversation to others by word of mouth. My conversation will be different from those who have had a positive experience with staff. I will say it again….Very poor customer service!

Great, friendly, small town service. Nice variety of ladies fashions...all at reasonable prices.

I purchased a large item from the online store; not unreasonably large like furniture, but nevertheless a heavy antique. I received an email a few days later stating that my order has been cancelled. Cindy stated that the item couldn't be shipped due to her inability to find suitable & affordable shipping options." What is most upsetting is she failed to contact me before cancelling and refunding my order to find out what "affordable" is to me nor did she take into account that UPS ships international freight all of the time at reasonable prices. More or less
