Family Midwifery Care of Guelph

I cannot recommend Family Midwifery Care enough! The Midwives from Pod 2 at Family Midwifery Care cared for me through both of my pregnancy’s and births. I feel so lucky to have found such encouraging, supportive, Midwives who took the time to explain and answer all my questions so I could make educated choices throughout both pregnancies and births. Choosing Family Midwifery Care allowed me the option to have a home birth, which I did for my second baby, while I chose a hospital birth for my first. After giving birth they visited us at home 3 times in the first week before transitioning to the postpartum clinic visits. They were also always available for urgent questions or concerns through the pager. Any non-urgent questions or concerns were often responded to within the day of emailing the clinic. I am so grateful for the care myself and my son’s received from these wonderful Midwives.

Being in the family midwifery care (pod 2) throughout my second pregnancy was the best decision I’ve made! They were so caring, supportive and overall amazing. Having the postpartum home visits was such a relief and they always made me feel comfortable and answered any questions or concerns I had. Definitely will be recommending to all my new mama friends and family!

I am so incredibly grateful to the team at Family Care Midwifery for the care my daughter and I received over the past year. It was so helpful to be able to page a midwife and get medical advice at any time of day! When I had complications the team acted quickly to get me the care I needed, and worked with my other medical professionals to ensure my baby and I were safe. I will always be happy with my choice to use midwives!

Best experience I could have imagined for my first baby. I was placed with pod 2 and I loved all 3 of my midwives so much! I felt so well taken care of and safe. Even when I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes they were well educated and made sure that baby and I were as safe as possible. I ended up giving birth to an average sized baby who is perfectly healthy. If I have more babies I will 200% be coming back to family midwifery care! Thank you ladies!

We just finished our journey with Family Midwifery and it was amazing! Midwives were always very helpful on giving advice and listening to all our questions and concerns. One the best parts is that the appts are not rushed at all. This made me and my partner feel like we were actually being taken care of.Thank you to POD 1 team (Heather, Nadine and Gal) for all your support provided throughout our journey.

We are so grateful we choose FMC for our care in bringing our daughter into the world! We absolutely loved our midwives, felt we built great relationships with them and felt confident in their skills and abilities. The greatest medical experience of my life - the midwives provide very personalized, educated and thorough care. During labour it was especially beneficial.I wouldn't change anything about my pregnancy or labour experience and I am certain it is because Family Midwifery provided us with such amazing care.

I had such a wonderful experience having my 1st and 3rd baby with Family Midwifery Care of Guelph (Pod 5). I am so grateful to have the midwives by our side during our journey. They were helpful in every way. They took the time to talk to us, and ensure us if we had any concerns. I had a c-section and I am so so grateful to have the midwife with me during the surgery. It was great to have that support. The prenatal care was amazing too! I don't know where to begin! The ladies in pod 1 made my pregnancy experience amazing. This was my first pregnancy and I was definitely worried over some of the smaller things but these ladies took the time to answer any and all questions and concerns I had. A special shout out to Heather for making my labour and delivery so smooth. I will definitely be going back with my next pregnancy!
