Writing reviews when reviews are due!My business partner and I have been lucky enough to be given great contacts to build a team behind us and our new business. The only thing we had to search for was a bookkeeper.Today I called 11+ bookkeepers/firms to try and find the right people to build a relationship with and do business.Lori at Cheques & Balances Bookkeeping Services was my last call of the day. Even though I have not received work from them as of yet, I needed to write a review to express how impressed I was by the way the call went and was handled. Mostly because if I read a review like this while searching, they would've been my first call and they should be yours.I called looking for a bookkeeper to help us get setup and stay organized. Lori was not only very pleasant to speak with, but was very, very knowledgeable. Provided me advice and recommendations regardless if I moved forward with their business. Seemed like an all around great person in general, but a great person to do business with also.My experience thus far has been fantastic and has really gotten me excited to meet the rest of their team and Lori's partner.Hopefully this helps someone in a similar situation make a much easier, less time consuming decision, of who you'd like to do your bookkeeping with.

I've been dealing with Bill for a lot of years and he's a knowledgeable accountant but there have been several mistakes made over the years on my taxes and although I paid for and completed my taxes he forgot to file them on multiple occasions resulting in a lot of headaches and penalties for which they never made it right for. A new owner took over the company last year and once again my 2020 taxes were not filed and they have yet to make it right and are extremely rude and unhelpful to deal with. I would avoid this business .

This is an unethical company. They owe my small business 600$ for advance payment on tax work that was never completed. I have been requesting a refund for months now, and have complied with all requests for documentation. They are stonewalling me and basically thieving from a small business.

Minaal was an amazing bookkeeper who left CAB Bookkeeping, then we went through 3-4 bookkeepers in a 6 month period resulting in missed payments and immense confusion. On 3 occasions we received quickbooks access to a company that wasn't ours, containing another company's financials and payroll. We cancelled our services when we waited up over 6 weeks to get a T2 form with no response. After cancelling, the owner of the company took 4 business days to transfer our account on Quickbooks and we missed payroll due to his incompetence. Avoid this company at all costs, they are unethical and highly unprofessional.
