We stayed on a cliff top site, gorgeous views of the ocean and fishing boats! Private and very quiet back country camping. Staff were all very friendly and down to earth. Clean bathrooms hot showers and water hose with drinkable water to fill containers. Nice hiking trails and a beautiful view of the hole in the wall.

The most beautiful experience. The cliff edge site allowed us privacy, whale watching, a crisp ocean breeze, and stunning sunsets. Absolutely devastated that we wont be able to make this an annual tradition, due to these sites closing. Thank you to all the staff and nature for a wonderful vacation!

Amazing campground and wonderful staff! We've been going each summer since 2013, and have stayed in the cabins and the Heritage House. Wonderful spot to explore trails, whale watch, relax. It's close to the ferry terminal and the amenities of North Head. Highly recommend!

The park is cozy and well kept and has a small assortment of snacks, drinks and showers, along with washers and dryers (all at reasonable prices) I won't go anywhere else on the island. My favorite place for camping

Stayed here for a couple nights over the summer. Super nice location and friendly staff. Very easy to find as it is close to where you get off the ferry. There are bathrooms, showers and drinking water available. Only con is our personal campsite wasn’t very private and could see directly into the people’s campsite beside us.I will say this: DO THE HOLE-IN-THE-WALL HIKE TO SWALLOWTAIL LIGHTHOUSE! It is a mediocrely challenging hike which took us about 3 hours, therefore I would not recommend for small children or elderly. The whole time you are walking along the cliffs of the island where you can see some of the most beautiful scenery you will ever see in your life guaranteed. Also saw lots of seals and whales on this hike! Ask the staff at the campground and they will direct you on the path.

Nice wooded park for camping. Typical campground sites and feel. The cliff trails and hole in the wall are a must see for everyone going to the island. Nice owner who showed us simple tips for in and around the park and island. Honor system for paying for cheap showers and typical campground wood. Was foggy during our stay, and the foghorn did not subside, but we found it not too loud to interrupt our time there and we actually enjoyed it. When we moved on we ended up missing the fog horn's companionship. I could see it being too loud in the past for the now defunct cliff camping sights.

We really enjoyed our stay here. 3 nights on cliff top. Our site was pretty private so it was great with our kids. The views were spectacular of the sea and also the stars at night. We were about a 15 minute hike to the Hole in the Wall arch which was great. As well just down a short path from our campsite were these rocks by the sea that our kids loved scrambling all over. We also caught site of some seals. The drive out to the campsite from the park entrance where the flush toilets, showers, kitchen, running water is about 5 mins or so. But they have outhouse type toilet at the campsites (and ours was right at the end of our campsite like along the roadway so was convenient) and they also had 4L empty water bottles that you can fill and bring up to your campsite with you. My kids really liked hanging out using the wooden rafts that they had there to raft around the little shallow pond. The staff was really nice and it was so refreshing to see them using the honour system. You really just pay the night before you leave and just keep track of everything you used, ie showers and firewood. I would definitely recommend it if you want to be unplugged and just hang out. It's also really close to Swallowtail Lighthouse which is interesting as well. We were able to catch sight of minke whales as we were just sitting by the lighthouse facing the water.

This was hands-down, the best experience camping during our two-week trip out East. It is a very short drive from the ferry. We chose to rent a Cliff's Edge campsite and we were not disappointed as we were literally right on the edge of a cliff. One night, while eating dinner, we watched seals and whales swim by. It was an amazing experience. I've talked to at least 3 other people about this place and they all had a wonderful experience. However, if I can make one recommendation to those who are thinking about going here- BRING EARPLUGS. It can get very foggy here and they have a fog horn that goes off every 15-20 seconds. I am not a deep sleeper and the earplugs were a life saver.
