Eric, Mario and Stephanie are the best. They provide the best service and are always helpful. They go out of their way for me which is greatly appreciated. They are very professional and friendly. We have worked with Hors-Bord LaFontaine for over 70 years and highly recommend them.

Smaller. Nice people

Despite being warned about this business, my family decided to take our small boat with a 9.9 engine for a quick tune up- the motor needed to be reattached to the boat (3 wires) and we needed to change the spark plugs.We figured it was a simple job and they originally said it would take about 2-3 weeks which is understandable with Covid delays.It actually took 7 weeks. And that's with calling every week to inquire what was going on. Half of those calls result in hang ups or a promise to call back which we never received. At one point, they told us it would be ready the next week. When we called to follow up, the business was closed for the week-all staff on vacation. To say the treatment was unprofessional is an understatement.Finally, after calling and saying we needed to pick up the boat- fixed or not- that week as we were leaving the area since it was nearly the end of summer, they did the job.Total cost to attach 3 wires and change spark plus? A ridiculous $650.00+. The cost of actual materials/parts was less than $50.Moral of the story: don't waste your time or money here.

One year later... I still don't have a throttle cable, the motor is still rotting in my shed... called today, they don't seem to even know if they even ordered the cable. DO NOT BUY A SUZUKI OUTBOARD FROM THESE PEOPLE! It is impossible to get parts. I now have two Suzuki outboards rotting in my shed, funny I have no problem getting parts for Yamaha and Honda outboards that are on my other boats. I ordered a throttle cable for an outboard motor from them on August 3rd 2020, did not get it until August 25th and it was the wrong cable. Summer is over, kids going back to school next week and they did not have a running boat motor for half of the summer. These types of delays are unacceptable to start with and ordering the wrong part, that puts me over the top. Never buying another Suzuki outboard again...

Eric and his team at Hors-Bord Lafontaine are incredible! Eric and I spoke, I told him what I was looking for as well as my price range and he found me an absolutely perfect, used pontoon boat! He was very upfront and honest throughout the transaction and he provided impeccable service and delivery! To take it a step further, when I had a minor electrical challenge, he sent a mechanic out right away and my issue was solved very quickly. I would absolutely recommend this company to anyone who's in the market for a boat!
