Terrible experience and they made me feel so much worse and frustrated. I went with a current N4 last week but because my income is a bit over the guidelines..They couldn't help. I understand that but I told them that I was leaving my job due to a scheduled surgery next week and have confirmation. I provided a note from work staying I left for medical reasons. I am legally disabled and tried to work part time to get on top of my rental arrears. I went back within a week. They shredded my N4 and when the office faxed it to them they said it was expired by a day and couldn't use it. I've never had to be so dependent on such an uncaring cold bunch of people. I wouldn't have been in this mess if I wasn't paying market rent and had a 2100 car repair bill that needed to be done in order to work part time. I'm am beyond frustrated with this place because there is no leeway.. no offer of even a suggestion of what else I could do to try to improve things. As if I wasn't under enough stress because of my health. They made my stress so much worse..

I really like and appreciate what the Housing Help Centre does. My friend apply to Housing Help Centre to get some help for first and last month rent, as well as a bed. They got there new bed 3 days after applying and rent first and last, was paid in full 2 days after getting the bed. They where able to answer all questions my friend and I had. 100% recommended if you are looking for Housing and/or just need help with rent.

So so so amazing. They were able to help me so much with my last month's rent for my new place. Without their quick and efficient work, I was able to move in on the right date and not loose my spot. So thankful.

They responded back to me quickly, and although they could not fix my situation, they gave me guidance and necessary information.

Last week I had a meeting with a housing specialist from Hamilton..during the two and half hour meeting she spent most of it judging me and informing me that I wasn't qualified to take care of an autistic daughter. The rest of the meeting she tried to convince me that my daughter should be locked away in an institution because she's autistic. She was nothing but ignorant. I contacted her boss ,(Larry) he said that I was lying because she didn't happen to mention being an ignorant bigot in her notes. I told him I was going public to expose her and he threatened me'... Told me to choose my words carefully when speaking of her and the agency..well how's this . STEPHANIE HAMILTON of the HOUSING HELP CENTER HAMILTON is an IGNORANT BIGOT ..and the center supports her behavior &covers for her.

The staff are very friendly, helpful, and cheerful. I needed help before for a bed and I couldn't believe just how fast I was accepted. Thanks to all the staff there.

What they detail on their website as far as help doesn't coincide when you arrive in person. The staff seem blank and emotionless. Not empathetic at all. Before pleading your case they're quick to excuse the information you assumed you had correct. They offer no alternative info as to where to further seek help. Very disappointed with this establishment.

This entire organization fails their mandate. Their own staff are excused violence towards the tenants. Very corrupt unsafe environment.Absolutely corrupt and give platitudes as answers dismissing the truth of violence and vandalism and incitement of hatred within their organization by their own staff.

This organization failed to maintain my mothers home causing her some serious health and breathing issues as well as mental health issues. They come and patch something instead of getting into the core issue. For example, bath tub had some leaking problem and they had to put a new one, when they took it out there is a thick layer of black mold underneath and on the wall that they didn’t bother to address and, just put the new tub on top of it which now growing outside the tub. It is very concerning that an organization should be caring for the vulnerable population do not ensure the health and well being of these people from a standard safety point is addressed. They feel hopeless and weak and so they just live with it…
