Sylvan has provided my son with tons of help with reading and support with phonics and grammar . The tutors are extremely patient and kind and the use of positive reinforcement works well with my son. We are thrilled with his progress so far, but most importantly, my son loves going there.

Sylvan Learning Center provides an excellent, educational environment for students of all ages to prosper. The highly knowledgeable and friendly staff/instructors are committed to helping your child develop and hone the necessary skills to succeed in the classroom. The multitude of programs offered at Sylvan Learning encompasses all levels of reading, writing, math and the sciences and are taught with the utmost proficiency. Definitely deserves a 5/5 rating!

Sylvan Learning of Courtice
We have our Grand daughter in the Sylvan program for reading and math. Her reading has improved vastly and her math is much better than before we started with Sylvan. She loves to go - she has never said she doesn't want to go to Sylvan. The smaller group atmosphere really works for her. Her report card was better than the one we got when she first started the year in Grade 1. We would recommend Sylvan to anyone who wants to make sure their child enjoys the learning experience.

My son has been attending Sylvan for 9 months for reading and math support. We just received his EQAO results and they are wonderful! Sylvan has taught him perseverance and determination towards his school work-something I have always struggled with as a parent.

Sylvan is set up to be a great learning environment where kids can come and work on some of the school skills that they struggle in and then transfer that into confident learners in their school environment. They care about the students and work hard at helping them be successful individuals. I like that they create the program around the kids needs and abilities. They are always assessing their progress and helping them achieve new goals. Thank you Sylvan!

Sylvan Learning for my grandson has been superb, their method of teaching with a reward system has made such a difference , not only in what he learns but in the way he approaches learning the process is showing already and it has only been a few weeks of 3 times a week. The caring teachers seem to find that special place in a difficult child to make him feel proud and confident. Thank you Sylvan, you are making such a difference in this boy,s daily life and his future as well !

On a scale of 0-3, the quality of the learning environment is definitely a 3, but I would like to say 4! The qualified and motivating instructors and the variety of resources available for your child creates a unique differentiated learning experience unlike anywhere else. Sylvan has a multitude of programs in reading, writing and mathematics and will help your children to build their skills to the level of mastery. The students have lessons based on their strengths and work in small enough groups that ensures they receive the attention and assistance they deserve in order to succeed and prosper!

As a mom, I'm not able to encourage my daughter to learn the way the Sylvan teachers can. From assessment to planning, I can see her excitement grow, and I know she is in great hands. She has no idea how much she is learning and doing and improving. The welcoming environment and encouraging teachers are 100% why she is happy to go - even on a Saturday morning!!
