The only tailor I trust. He's altered numerous suits and shirts for me. Every time the fit has been perfect, the price reasonable, and it was ready in a week or less. Most recently he did my suit for my wedding and I received tons of compliments.

I get lots of clothes tailored every year and bring them all to Sam’s since moving back to detroit. Never received an item back I was unhappy with and turnaround time is super quick. I once needed something same-day and they got it done with a smile :)

Great place to get any type of alterations done in a timely fashion. The only thing is that if there’s an event at the rencen it’s hard to find free parking anywhere close, and the second thing is that it’s a bit expensive to get work done there, albeit the phenomenal work that it is. That’s the only reason I took a star off.

I've been using Sam for alterations for suits and formal wear for eight years and would not go anywhere else. He does beautiful work, is fairly priced, and is very timely.

I bought a vintage leather jacket with a faulty zipper. It took about a week with a snowstorm but I wasn't in any rush. I got it back with an installed two-way zipper (suggestion of the tailor) to prevent further zipper issues. The tailoring quality was great. Leather can be unforgiving, but it looks as if it came off the rack - no signs that it's ever been altered.I definitely would recommend Sam's and will be coming back for any future tailoring needs I have!

There’s no better tailor than Sam! I’ve brought all sorts of weird items to Sam to size and i’ve been extremely satisfied with them all :) I will continue to come back for as long as I live here!

Sam just made me a very labor intensive custom piece from an old Louis bag that exceeded my expectations wildly in about half the time I was expecting - couldn’t be happier with his service. If you live in Detroit just make Sam your tailor, no question.
