Wonderful. Spend the extra cash for a villa, with screened in hottub, or for a chateau if looking for that intimate getaway. Very private. Suites would be good if plan do outdoors activities all day. Chalet looks to have a little less privacy than villas but might be a good in-between. Room service was phenomenal. Daily menu specials were some of the best offerings. We tried everything, so don't overlook the specials. Even when the apps left something to be desired, the main dishes always satisfied. Hard to resist tipping for the great service, but they do insist, no tipping. Bring Epsom salts and bubble bath to fully enjoy the in room whirlpools, or you can pay for products on hand.

Stayed in a Junior Master. Large room, spacious balcony, lots of in-room features (steam bath, jacuzzi, fireplace, hot tub), access to all sorts of sports equipment (canoes, kayaks, paddle boards, bikes, motor boats, racquets, balls, Algonquin Park pass). Food was great! Nice live music with dinner. Beautiful location.A very minor drawback: there is a $20 cost per day for parking and $2 charge per k-cup which I would prefer to have quietly lumped into the overall cost considering that everything else is inclusive. I would also like to see more gluten-free bread options than the generic white but was otherwise satisfied with the gf options.I would highly suggest that the dinner and breakfast ordering could be improved via a form or online. Calling the phone number between set times and having to repeat the order a few times to make sure it was accurate was a bit of a pain.Overall, loved it. No deal breakers. The amenities and facilities provide exactly what is needed to enjoy Algonquin Park while also pampering yourselves in a quiet romantic atmosphere.

What a weekend away!!! My husband and I had the best time at Couples Resort. The weather wasn't the greatest, but we enjoyed the wood burning fireplace in our room and hot tub on our balcony. We also spent some time in the games room. The restaurant was fantastic. The wait staff were AMAZING and VERY attentive. The food was unreal!! Lots of options for everyone. We will definitely be coming back!! Thank you to everyone at Couples Resort for making our trip a great one!!

We had a beautiful stay in the junior master suites. Our balcony overlooked the water, had a perfect privacy railing, and a private hot tub that was much larger than expected. The gluten free and vegan food options were delicious. The portions were large enough we had leftovers at every meal. We loved the carrot cake. We were able to get a day pass card to Algonquin to hike the lookout trail at no cost. It was beautiful. We took out a canoe and went for a nice paddle on the calm water, at no cost. Very impressed with our beautiful room and very comfortable bed. Staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend. I hope to be back.

We had a wonderful stay here for our anniversary. The room was huge and offered many unique high end features like a European bidet, shower with 4 shower heads and not only a 2 person jet tub inside, but a large private hot tub on the balcony overlooking the lake. Free pass to the provincial park, free boat rental, mountain bikes and more. Staff was friendly and offered excellent service. We would absolutely love to return in the fall/ winter to make use of the real wood fireplace! Only thing to note is there is NO usb port for charging. Bring a wall plug with you.

Spent a fabulous weekend in an Upper Jr. Suite. My husband took me for my birthday/getaway.Had a fabulous weekend as it was that summer like weather in April. Perfect for the hot tub, balcony, stargazing and Algonquin hikes. Dinners and breakfasts were amazing.Like others say it's a bit dated decor. Loved all the amenities the offer. Can't wait to go back!

Really enjoyed our weekend at the resort. Wintertime is great for the outdoor hottub! Food was delicious and great service by Julia, Emily and Daniella. Being so close to so many outdoor activities was terrific and the resort offers equipment for many.

Absolutely first class experience . We originally planned 3 days but decided to add a little extra to extend our stay. Facilities are amazing. Outdoor heated pool in May, personal steam baths , personal outdoor hot tubs, wood fire places in room, and exceptional bed and bedding. Stevie In the dining room has a perpetual smile, Mary and Taylor at the front desk provided superb service. Dakota, Nancy and Dario also provided great service with a smile. If you haven’t been you are missing out. We look forward to returning sooner than later. Lastly food was also exceptional, gourmet dine in or room service you choose. Chefs and kitchen staff do a fantastic job. Thank you everyone for all your hard work and care in making this a memorable experience, See you again soon :)

Been coming here since it was Bear Trail and I have to say that not much has changed. Problem with that is the place is definitely dated now and should be updated. I would say back then it was a 5 star resort I wouldn't call it that now but we enjoyed our time. The meals were good although they should allow breakfast in the dining room especially since they bring you breakfast and then expect you to wash your own mugs? In the bathroom sink? With what I'm not sure either cause there was no sponge even. The staff are great and very friendly. We stayed for 2 nights in a spa villa and could have gone to Cuba all inclusive for a week. Also be aware that they for some reason charge $20/night for parking. Not sure how else they would expect you to get there or where they think you'd leave your car but I don't remember this charge in previous visits.

My husband and I recently spent 3 nights in one of the Master Suites. This was our third time staying at Couples and it was a lovely peaceful getaway. Having boats available for free/rental is a bonus as the lake is beautiful. The resort itself is getting tired and could use some updating. Staff are super friendly and service is too notch.
