TRP Academy Tae Ryong Park

Had a horrible experience with the 'VIP visit'. I was told within 2 minutes of entering the premises that its not a good fit for my busy kids. I had thought it would help regulate my busy kids. No detailed explanation was forwarded for such uncouth behavior. The lady who greeted at the door and the instructor himself appeared decent but the Asian boss was so intolerant of my kids (6 and 3) that he signaled the instructor to tell us off. I pity the employees.Not only does the man lack business ethics but needs sensitivity training. I had informed beforehand that my son (6) has a diagnosis of ASD with ADHD. How is it acceptable to decide within 2 minutes that a kid doesn't fit in to your program? Especially little ones who are trying to get back into routine after a long lock down. Shame on such businesses!!!

Stay away, worst place ever. Do not recommend despite the advertised achievements. All they care about is money. Rude and unpleasant owners and staff.

Highly recommend! I went here when I was about 12-14 years old. In my 20 years, I've only been in 2 sports where it felt like something to really commit myself to rather than just something to do after work/school- this was one of those sports! I think perhaps the 10 commandments helped and how the higher level kids were so supportive and inclusive. I was also incredibly self conscious when I went there, being a tween, but not in taekwondo class: the teachers always made me feel like I could go as I wanted as long as I put in the work, which I think is a great outlook to have on life.I'm writing this as I watch Yvette Yong's match in Tokyo. Go Skylar! Go Yvette!

We just had my son's 7th Birthday party at the Scurfeild location and it was AMAZING! From the moment guests walked in the staff was extremely helpful with getting all 15+ kids and their parents organized and comfortable. I could not believe the help they provided. Seriously the best experience ever . They even had the children line up and wash their hands in ORDERLY fashion before snack and cake . The instructors gained the respect of the kids immediately and made things fun and safe for their time there. Everyone had a huge smiles during their class, and I received SO MANY compliments from parents on their experience. I recommend to anyone looking to book a stress free super fun party. For Girls + Boys!! Cutting the cake with a real sword was one of the MANY hilights for our birthday boy! Memories sure to last a lifetime. Our little guests were 4yr-7ys.

JUNIOR HAPKIDO - All the instructors are amazing, funny, and they do an excellent job of pushing the kids to achieve excellence. My daughter has been at TRP for many years now and always looks forward to her lessons. Olympic caliber training- highly recommend!

Our VIP visit was fantastic. We had a warm reception. The manager was friendly and energetic during the demo with my daughter. The manager was also happy to accommodate a break in the middle of the program. Since my daughter has started attending regular classes, she has had nothing but a happy experience.

This place is Fantastic. The instructors are fantastic. And the way they constantly focus on respect is fantastic. I highly recommend TRP to everyone.

They took membership and uniform fees from my friend and then asked for a long term commitment just 2 days before closing their Regent Ave location (when the long term commitment ask went out they were already aware they would no longer be at the regent location). No refunds provided. Horrible dishonest business practice. Be aware.

As a former student, Grandmaster Deuk Park and Master Jae Park provided me with the confidence and skills to further advance in my personal and professional life. For a number of years, I trained under them to better understand the traditional elements of Tae Kwon Do and Hap Ki Do.Competing in Black Belt tournaments, training USA law enforcement officers and representing Canada on the Hap Ki Do Demo Team were all dreams come true. Master Jae Park and his academies are true tradition and have earned worldwide respect, which certainly includes mine. Forget the rest of the academies and learn from the best. They truly care about you. Thank you for letting me be a part of your earlier years.

The team at TRP Academy is absolutely amazing. The instructors take the greatest care of their students and the before and after school program for the kids is such a wonderful service!
