Very relaxed vibe, which is nice vs the places where you can tell the servers want you to leave and like get you out of the restaurant. The food is good as well. Lots of covered patio space.

The minute we walked in we were greeted by this super charismatic host that got us a table for 6 people right away. The food was delicious, the closest to real authentic Mexican food. Lastly, Jorge and David went above and beyond to make sure we felt right at home. Excellent service, food, and atmosphere. Thank you so much La Taqueria!

The food is quite authentic so it's worth a try! We had the weekend brunch menu. Vegetarian and vegan options are not labeled clearly despite the bottom of the menu stating v for vegetarian and ve for vegan. The menu is also quite confusing because there are many Spanish words, if you don't speak Spanish, perhaps have yourself ready to Google stuff because we almost ordered chicken. I feel like to be inclusive, it might be better to have things in English. It would also be great to have some pictures of the food. Some of the portions are pretty small. Overall I would recommend to try although I may not come back again. I just personally didn't like the food too much. Although it just didn't have a great vegetarian menu. We ordered a chicken enchilada without the chicken and we were charged the same price as it would be for the chicken enchilada. Not very friendly towards vegetarians. $19 for a cheese enchilada is a bit much.

Dog friendly Brentwood. Amazingly tasty brunch that you might not expect from a taco shop. Had the brioche french toast with berry compote and ginger cardamom maple syrup and the breakfast burrito. The perfect balance of salty and sweet.

We went for happy hour on Sunday, when it was not too too busy; we got seated right away.We ordered the taqueria flight to share and each of us ordered trio tacos. We expected the taqueria to be served first, as it is the sharable appetizer, but the trio taco came first for all of us. We assumed the taqueria flight would be served soon after. However, we finished our tacos and when we asked our server, Joaquina to follow up, she seemed like she completely forgot about our other dish. She said she'll put in the order to the kitchen. We waited about another 10-15 minutes for our appetizer.She also seemed to forget that we ordered another bottle of water and a drink, because she was casually walking around the restaurant for about 10 minutes before she looked at our table and made a u-turn to the bar to grab our drinks. The drink we ordered was literally just a bottle that she needed to grab from the fridge, shouldn't take more than a couple minutes unless she was held up with another table, which was not the case.To top it off, when we were waiting for our server to come to grab our bill, we saw her behind the bar with the bar tender seeming to be getting whipped cream dispensed right into her mouth by the bar tender. The whipped cream dispenser is used for the bartender to put on customer drink orders; this seems so unhygienic to put directly into someone's mouth. Doing this in plain sight of the customers was incredibly rude and unprofessional, especially when the table is waiting for their bill.Needless to say, we were unimpressed by the customer service there. The food was good, but did not make up for the lack of attention from the server and the unprofessional behaviour by the other staff.

Decided to try the Brentwood location on Saturday, May 20th. I am 100% confident I won't be returning. I actually had to pinch myself and my friends to make sure we weren't invisible. Waiting over 10 minutes for a drink order? Then 10 more to find out my drink wasn't even placed. Making eye contact several times with 3 different servers and empty glasses on our table only to have them walk by. Saying loudly 3 times excuse me" to a server walking by only to not be heard. It was absolutely stunning. Then we did actually become visible when the server dropped a bottle of soda on our table. Accidents happen of course but it was so comical

They need a better check in system for those who don’t have reservations. We were told you wait outside until a table was ready- no option to leave a phone number and didn’t even take a name. If it gets super busy that wouldn’t be a good system not to mention it’s not covered so waiting outside in the rain is not ideal. The cocktails were good, as were the nachos. The tacos have a decent amount of meat, as they should, since it’s almost $9 for one. The quesabirria wasn’t very flavourful but the dipping sauces were good. Unfortunately the service was very slow. Overall, it feels overpriced and not worth the hype.

Every taco I got was delicious. Meats were tender and all the flavours from the marinade and grill could be tasted. I love the garnishes as well such as the pickled onions and cilantro. The tortilla is great too. Bright new cool space! My partner got the fish tacos and the pieces of fish were nice and large! Definitely worth it

This is a great restaurant serving authentic Mexican food. They have many gluten free and dairy free options. I had the Birriamen (Ramen) dish which was a great fusion of Mexican and Japanese food. The tacos are also excellent. The El Pastor was my favorite. Their service was friendly and the food was delivered quickly. The cocktails were very tasty and I especially liked the Margaritas. I definitely recommend this place.
