Kipawa Lodge

My friend introduced me to kipawa lodge, and I am hooked since then!! The owners are amazing people, the staff is always friendly. The food is awesome, lodging is clean and very well maintained. Peaceful, quiet, tons of fish!!!!

Wayne and Barb were terrific hosts at Kipawa lodge. Boats and, motors were in excellent shape with gas easily available and fish finders in each boat. Our cabin was comfortable and well stocked with necessary kitchen utensils. Fishing was terrific with maps of preferred locations provided. Be sure to obtain your ZEC licence in the town of Kipawa before the 45 minute boat ride to the lodge. If you are looking for a rustic wilderness experience Kipawa lodge fits the bill.

Great time at Kipawa Lodge, Wayne, Barb and the rest of the team could not have been more hospitable and the food was excellent. We had two days of poor fishing but Wayne suggested a different method and our third day was great. We look forward to a return visit in years to come.

Before covid, did a spring fishing trip to kipawa. It was a great location, and the fishing was good. Camp staff was memorable, great folks who did their best to provide a great time.

The cabins are great for a week of fishing and the owners will help out with anything you need. We enjoyed our stay and will be going back again!

Clean, well maintained and well stocked cabins with gas cook stove, good kitchen equipment, BBQ and beauty wood stove. Aluminum boats perfect for full day fishing. Cabins are not well insulated, so try to avoid going during frost (if you do, keep putting wood on the fire!)Wayne and Barb are great hosts. They gave us good fishing advice and made sure we were comfortable. They baked us an incredible loaf of sour dough bread on a rainy day!I was about to give a 4 star review, but then I realized the lost star was due to weather and low fish - things completely out of their control. We went in the fourth week of September and only caught 2 fish in 5 days of fishing (ended up leaving early due to poor weather).Other guests we met told us it was their 8th trip and that they ALWAYS get a big catch in late spring / summer, so time your trip right. They apparently book up about one year in advance.

Once again another perfect stay at Kipawa lodge. Our Hosts Wayne and Barb made our stay pleasurable. They had good bait clean cottages The fishing was outstanding We are booked for next year

We were lucky enough to discover and spend a week at Kipawa Lodge in August 2020. Our visit to Kipawa provided my family with a sense of normalcy with a great summer vacation that was very much needed.The accomodations and fishing were great, hosts Barb and Wayne helped with anything and everything we needed, and most importantly the amazing scenery and quiet of the area made for a great family escape. It was hard to leave.Our family cannot wait to get back again next year, I highly recommend Kipawa Lodge for families and those looking for a true canadian northern escape that is hard to beat. My only regret is not visiting Kipawa Lodge sooner!
