River Bend Golf & Recreation Area

This place blew my expectations away. I traveled from Calgary to play with a buddy from Edmonton. I didn't know what to expect. This course is so immaculately taken care of. The fairways are cut to perfection and greens are smooth. This course reminded me of BC. They have a great 18 along with a pitch and put for the younger kids. Or a quick little outing for a double date. 2 practice greens and gorgeous driving range

Discovery canyon is vey nice place. Safe for kids and lots of fun!

Was a great evening of golf until we were on hole 14 at 9:30pm when we were called back to the pro-shop to end our round. Our group of 4 had 2 carts and were moving at a good pace on the back. We booked 18 for 6pm, we waited for the groups in front of us the entire front 9. Finished the front 9 30 minutes behind pace due to this. We were on the 14th hole at the 3HR15 min mark, golf is a 4 hour game per THEIR sign at the pro-shop and got kicked off at this time and did not get any sort of reimbursement, rain check or any compensation for this, even though we paid for 18. It was still bright out, plenty of time before it got too dark.

Gave my friends and I an 8 , an S and a P iron for the driving range. Place is usually pretty dope though, think a tournament took all the drivers. Prolly should have jus closed the range tho

Beautiful golf course. Fairways, greens and tee boxes were well kept.GPS in the carts is cool but doesn't warn you when you're about to go out of a programmed area and just stops you and doesn't allow you to make a 90° turn to go forward in any way. You have to reverse out of the area. For the people that lose their balls all the time, this got really annoying and slowed us down. Some of the areas were parts of the par 4 and 5 fairways and rough. Some more warning would be nice rather than just stopping you, or allowing a cart to make a 90° turn out of the area.

Gorgeous little course down in the heart of the Red Deer river valley. Lots of wildlife and the course was in very good shape for the most part during the 2020 season. Had a membership this year and played almost 60 rounds, glad I did as we are probably moving west of the rockies next spring. They also have a great little 9 hole par 3 pitch and put between 40-80yrds that is great for families and beginners.

Was a very great experience, friendly staff well maintained corse. A little bit pricey and long waits at holes at times but overall great corse

Place to go for new clubs! Logan helped my decide the best fit for my swing and ordered me in a set of new irons awesome place for new golf equipment!

The whole facility is amazing!Fantastic driving range with a medium sized bucket of balls included in the fees along with a pull cart included for your round. Excellent practice putting/pitching area. An incredible 9 hole mini links to sharpen your short game and/or have a fun outing with your kids to experience golf! As for the actual golf course, it was visually beautiful and quite enjoyable to walk. Surprisingly the difficulty of play was alot easier than I expected due to wide fairways and large greens but this was a pleasant surprise. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star rating was due to the pressure put on us almost immediately by the management about pace of play and for us to play quicker. We were put together with another twosome without being told and all of us were slower than average golfers. Only 2 or 3 holes in to our 18 hole round and we were confronted by management asking us to speed up. It was my twosomes first time playing this course so that made the round slightly less enjoyable with the pressure to hurry all the time. Management came out once more on the back nine to pressure us again so that part of the experience was disappointing. Overall though as I said the whole facility is immaculate and you'll have a great day of golf!!
