Russian School of Mathematics - Toronto

Our daughter did Spirit of Math for 6 years before starting RSM and she definately responds better to RSM method of learning. She has consistently been one of the top 5 students in her grade 7 class at school all year. RSM has helped her become more confident in her math abilities and skills.

It is the second year my kid’s been studying here. So far, I think this is the best thought through program I came across. All concepts are introduced gradually and smartly, with consistent extra challenge to build future growth. Your kid will be way ahead of the class at school if taking courses here.

We enrolled our child in RSM classes last year and we have been very satisfied with the experience. RSM approaches math from a conceptual perspective and enables children to explain rather than memorize procedures. Communication with RSM teachers and office has also been timely and efficient. Moreover, online classes are very well-organized and our child attends them enthusiastically.

We just had the worst evaluation ever. My son is very good in maths. He loves numbers and counting. He has been in a private school where they supported his passion and developped his weaknesses. We went for a walk to the ice cream place and my son saw a place where they have maths classes..he asked if he could take maths classes where he could learn more. I contacted rsm after being advised from a relative in the states. It was the worst experience ever. My son was intimidated. He was on the edge of crying. The principal stopped the evaluation and asked him to leave so that she can talk to me. She asked me if my son has ever been to school before. She says she doesn't understand. My son is going to start grade 1 and he goes to grade 5 maths classes and at rsm the principal asks me if he has ever been to school before after talking to him for 10 mins. I am glad I took the decision not to send my son there or he would have lost his passion for maths. The principal said he needs to be in a school with special kids. I was like he just needs special teachers. I am very upset and I am worried about the effect of the 10 min evaluation on my son who is so passionate about maths. I wouldn't recommend anyone to send their child there.

The principal of this school has no business being an educator.When we brought our concerns about our child's progress in the program, her response was: I can't turn your child into a genius.""

I love this school, they make math so easy to understand, kids really understand the math problems and how to solve them, the teachers are all great, patient and dedicate their time to support students with lots of detailed and various explanation. The teaching method and curriculum is very structured, my daughter got more confident in math and generally to be able to solve all kind of problems

Mr. Constantine is an amazing math teacher. When I went to observe his class as a parent, I almost wanted to take it myself. I appreciated his patience and ability to maintain a comfortable and challenging learning environment. He explains mathematical concepts with great clarity and shows how to take on complex mathematical problems, have them solved, and enjoy doing so. Masterful!

Based on my family experience RSM is the best math school in Toronto so far. After one year with this school my 10 year old son significantly improved his math skills and billed strong confidence about his potentials. Considering the fact that, due to pandemic, all classes were performed online, I can only imagine what progress will be when studying in person! Looking forward to summer classes! Being with RSM from the beginning, I can see a great value of math education, especially taking in account a very lame school curriculum. Inga is a rare teacher that helps students to regognize how interesting Math is. Highly recommended.
