Safeway Sardis

I’m really not usually one to complain as I work in the service industry as well and understand how hard it can be, but today June 19, at around 6:30pm when I went in to my local Safeway to get a couple of sandwiches as I do usually at least once a week I was met with some of the worst customer service I’ve ever had. The girl at the counter was so incredibly rude, constantly complaining and making snide remarks under her breath about literally everything I asked as well as not listening to me and then complaining when I would repeat myself. I come to Safeway multiple times a week and I’m honestly so put off by my experience that I don’t know if I’ll be back for a long time, if at all. I’m severely disappointed in my experience today at the Sardis Safeway location.

Wasn't impressed when trying to use my raincheck on some Coke Zero from a previous flyer. They refused to honor the raincheck. I find this to be terrible customer service. Went to Shoppers Drug Mart for their sale instead. This is beyond disgusting....just saying.

On a Sunday, when quite a few places closed on Chilliwack, went to Safeway for a pastry and Starbucks. Only place to sit down was at a long counter in front of checkout. Chairs were heavy and low compared to counter. Starbucks does not accept app to pay, hence no stars. Really disappointed. Used to be more hospitable in old store. Staff very nice.

Needed to purchase some beef that was on sale. Unfortunately, it wasn't in stock when I got there, but they did give me a rain check. Phoned several days later and they did not have that kind of beef available but offered me a better cut at the same price with the rain check. A very helpful butcher!

This store has gone from good to great..!!. Great new renovation With a perfect store layout..Better selection of products, In wider aisles .Items are easy to find .Of course the staff in this store are awesome, well above good, helpfully kind and really friendly always say hello and will go out of thier way to make your shopping experience a good one.Customer service desk is now easily visible and they mean customer service in this store..I also noticed they have a very modern self check out section now..very convenient..Come enjoy this new modern Safeway with a Starbucks inside have a coffee and enjoy your shopping experience..my only problem is they replaced the wonderful AirMiles program with a Scene Program from Scotia Bank not a good bank so the scene points are useless ..unlike airmiles I used for 20 plus years and received lots of great items from them..

Some of the staff are rude and arrogant ( not all ) meat guy has issue with me ... produce guy a bit snappy , checkout ppl are unfriendly , always check dates on everything you going to buy there even if the employees give you the evil eye for touching stuff ,it's like employees just don't understand that the customer is why the business exists .

I am a big fan of Safeway. I enjoy the fact that they carry a wider variety of products. As we are residents of Abbotsford, we try to make the trip at least once a month. I'm looking forward to the construction being complete.

Stopped in with my wife for some quick shopping. The store is looking great. The renovation should be done by the end of April.

I won't shop there again until renos are done. I can't find anything as its moved evertime I go there. Flooring makes it difficult for us that are not that mobile. Also new main entry is a bit steep so when wet eldery and those not so mobile are forced to run down. Not good in the ice or rain. To much salt makes it worse as we have to navigate that too. Usually its my favorite place to shop though.

Ordered a cake for pick up at 9am. Arrived 9.10. Couldn't find cake. Finally found requisition. Not done. Had to quickly decorate with flowers and message. Excellent job.Cake served around 11.45am. Still frozen in the middle. Disappointing
