The behavior of staff was good, but the quality of service wasn't. There were two issues - sound made by disc brake when braking, which was resolved, and a continuous metallic sound when riding, due to a bent disc. The mechanic forgot about the second issue entirely when charging me. When I came back, he repaired it or so he said, but there was no change whatsoever. The problem remained and was not resolved. I won't recommend this shop for brake repairs.

The new ownership is great. Helpful, friendly service, fast repairs, no pushy sales people.

The staff here is beyond helpful! I have had such a great experience at this store time and time again that it is my go to spot in the city for anything bike related. They are patient and very helpful and they can answer any questions you may have about your bike. They do great tune ups and recently I got a fit test done here with Kevin. The fit test was spectacular and Kevin was extremely helpful in the entire process. I’m so much for efficient and comfortable with my new fit on my road bike and would highly recommend this service for any new riders or riders who are experiencing any pain.

I’m from California and decided to drop by Cycle Technique to check out the bikes they have for sale. I’m new to actively participating in the sport of road cycling. I’ve known about the sport for a long time, but never got interested in riding myself until recently. So I stopped by Cycle Technique to see what they have and to potentially learn a little more about road bikes and what bike would work for me.Being from California, there are a lot of bike shops around me. I’ve come to learn and have experienced the wide range of cycling attitudes. They range from the eliteist cyclists who feel they are above everyone who doesn’t ride $7000 bikes, they look the part, and call people “Fred” or “Doris” who don’t. (Google Cyclist term Fred or Doris) Then there is the hipster Fixie/Messenger style that enjoys the freedom to personalize everything to their own taste and style. For me, they are on the opposite side of the scale. They can be perceived as rebels as they don’t necessarily conform to the traditional road bike style or attitude. Depending on where your from, I’m sure you’ve seen and experienced anywhere in between the two.I’ve been to bike shops in California who gauge what you’re in the shop for. If your not going to buy a bike or know what you’re looking for, they would rather not waste their time with you and continue to work on the bike they have in the back. It’s not the best experience for a potential road cyclist.Going into Cycle Technique I wasn’t sure what to expect. I was only there to look. Kevin Chin was the person who greeted me. He did a great job. He asked the right questions to get information out of me and to understand what bike would work for me. What I thought was going to be a short visit turned out to be a 2hr conversation. Kevin really enjoys what he does and didn’t mind that I could walk away taking the knowledge that I’ve learned from him and buy a bike some where else. He said it wasn’t about the store gaining a client it was about the world gaining a cyclists. I can respect that!So with all the questions and dialog back and forth, Kevin helped me understand what I should be looking for in a road bike. There is so much information out there I didn’t know what I needed, but after speaking with Kevin I do now! He was very helpful! I ended up leaving Cycle Technique after putting a down payment on a new Cervelo C3!! I eventually came back to Montreal to pay for the rest of the bike and to pick it up. Attached are pictures of my Cervelo C3 in the wild.I highly recommend Cycle Technique. If you ever have a chance to speak with Kevin Chin, he is great and will definitely help you out!

The owner was very friendly and helpful. He helped me get a part for my Scott bike despite that I bought my bike from another shop. If you want to buy a Scott bike, buy it here where they care about their customer than some other shop.

I'm a super occasional rider, not a pro. I have a used vintage bike I got off Kijiji a few years ago for like 200$ that does the trick. I wanted a new bike saddle and they were really helpful and nice and it ends up they had a bin of discounted second hand parts and I found one that fit my riding style/anatomy and also fit the look of my bike! They let me ride it around the block to see if it fits. Costed me only 50$! The only complaint I had is they were running a bit on Jamaica time (lol) so I was itching to leave by the end but otherwise great and I'd recommend. They def won't rush you and take their time to help out. You can also book an appt to get the whole bike fitting thing with all the technical info for serious riders. They also have better prices than other shops in the area for installation and are super nice. François and Claude in the back are very helpful and nice.

I went to this store for repairs several times and they were reasonable. I stopped because I found I was spending way more on my bike than I had before. They liek to replace parts rather than fix them because it's easier but you're the one that pays.
